Little Pawprint sat on a mat, made of father's pray skins. 1
His father, Ledgend, moved back from Pawprint and let out a large growl. "Now, it's your turn."2
"Rawr?" asked Pawprint. 3
"No," said Ledgend. "Raaaaaawwwwwwwwwrrrrrrrr!"4
"Rawr?"5
Ledgend sighed and patted Pawprint on the back. "You'll get it some day, boy," he said in a deep voice.6
These words echoed through Pawprint's head like an angry adult lion, just waiting to burst out.7
"Raawwrr!" He was getting closer to Father's goal.8
"Pawprint," said the warming, beautiful voice of his mother.9
"Yes?" answered Pawprint with his small, cute voice.10
"Your father wants you to come to the monthly animal meetup. He says it's very important," said Pawprint's mother sternly. "Now go make your father proud." And with that, she kissed Pawprint on the forehead and headed off to the big cliff, where the monthly animal meetup would take place.11
Pawprint followed her and they arrived at the top of big cliff. 12
He looked down at the other animals and felt happy that he wasn't down there.13
Finally, he turned around to his father and said, "Why did you say this meetup was so important?"14
"Because," said Ledgend, looking out over the animals, "I want you to hear the announcements. It will be the first one."15
"Ok," said Pawprint curiously.16
Then, a band in the corner played their instruments loudly and caught everyone's attention. The monthly animal meetup had begun.17
"Hello, fellow animals of the desert," started Ledgend. "Today, we will start out with the announcements."18
Everyone groaned except Pawprint and his mother. The announcements were usually boring. But not this time.19
"First announcemnt," started Ledgend as he winked at Pawprint. Pawprint winked back. 20
"This Saturday, we are having our anual growling contest. Go to Cheeta's sign ups for more information and to sign up."21
Then, under Ledgend's rock desk, he gave the sign that Pawprint should go and practice his growling, and so he went.22
But alas, Pawprint never got better, for he only got better when his father's words of strenghth came to his head.23
So, Pawprint spent his time, playing with his toys, which soon grew boring.24
Finally, when Ledgend arrived, Pawprint told him about his problem and Ledgend just let out a hefty laugh. "Oh, Son," he said. "I can't think of inspiring things all of the time."25
So, on the day of the contest Ledgend stood in the middle of the feild and said, "These are the rules of the anual growling contest."26
Ledgend cleared his throat. "I will first let out my loudest growl then the opponants will try to growl louder than that growl. First up, Rawrie."27
Rawrie waited while Legend let out a very loud growl and when it was his turn, he failed.28
Pawprint watched as the others failed, until it was his turn. He stood there, frozen.29
"Come on, Son!" said Ledgend. "You can do it! You just got to try!"30
Again, these words boomed through Pawprint's head and he growled, "RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRR!!!" It was so loud, that it shook the stadium.31
"We have a winner!" said Legend happily.32
And so, the youngest lion ever to win a trohpy besides his father was young Pawprint33
