Within a week I had gained one and lost the other. I guess that's the balance of things. I always knew I couldn't have both. If there was always one guy my boyfriend was insecure about- it was my best friend- looking back now I guess I can say that he had every right to be. 1
It ended because he decided to go abroad to study. We both agreed long distance wasn't for us. I think it really ended because he already felt me drifting away. Because he had already drifred away although I would not know of this till later. I'm glad I didn't know of it till later. We parted ways with him saying it would be okay if I wanted to be with my friend. Apparently he felt I needed his blessing...2
I will admit that it hurt. It was strange being alone after a year and half. It doesn't seem like a long time- but he was my first love- so it was strange being alone now. He also left of promises that maybe one day we could be together again. I spent the rest of that summer vacation confused. I spent alot of time with my best friend. He helped soften the blow. He was the soft pillow that prevented my heart from hitting the hard floor and smashing into pieces. The lines started to blur between friendship and something more. There were looks of intimacy and moments of quiet understanding and confusion.3
Each time I inched closer to taking that step- my now ex-boyfriend would slam with full force back into my heart as he confessed his love for me again and I would be lost all over again. It was unfair of him to keep me where he had me. I felt tortured- I would lose them both if I didn't do something. Who to choose?4

I liked that one a lot. I usually don't like reading stories on here, I'm more about the poetry or philosophy. But this one was entertaining, and I of course agree with those who have posted before me, you really need to finish the next part. It is nice to give a taste, but seriously, you are just teasing us here without posting the entire thing.
