"We're seeking!" The group called out to us.4

Elisa, Rin and I shared the common smile while we conversed on a secret place that no one will be able to find us. Of course we agreed on the new Science wing of the school. They wouldn't even think to look there! We turned around and watched the two others Tim and Amanda walk turn the corner to the cafeteria. There they would have to count to 30 before anything. Slowly we walked backwards until the exact moment they disappeared. Without hesitating we turned and ran. It wasn't just a swift paced walk or a 'i-don't-know-if-i-should-run-or-walk', it was a full burst sprint. 5

The three of us broke through the crowd that were conversing in the hallway, like an obstacle-course. Not even to the end of the hallway we begin to burst into laughter because Rin has lagged far behind us and is desperate to catch her breath... For once this was the first time I HAD ever seen her run. Especially like this.6

At the end there were 20-plus people standing, mostly girlfriends and boyfriends, and with slick non-gripping shoes, it was difficult to weave through them all. After almost running into the short wall I turned left and was still in the lead. I looked over my shoulder hoping that they were not that far behind. We really had to find the good hiding spot this time. 7

Elisa and Rin were just barely behind me but were probably laughing harder than I ever was at the moment. I stopped a mere second before continuing right beside them. 8

"Hurry!!" I urged them. Half of our time was gone. With 15 seconds left to go the other team would be chasing right on our tails.9

"We're trying Mikky! Slow down a bit, why don't ya.." Elisa huffed.10

We continued down this narrow hallway. It wasn't as full as people but it was more difficult from the other students exiting rooms from either side of us. There was no idea if they would walk out right before you would plow them over.11

"Where are we going to hide this time?" Rin asked, now further behind than I thought she would be. I tried not to laugh at her this time. I was already out of breath as it was at the moment.12

Then came the sharp turn into the dark Science Wing of the High School. All the classroom lights were off as well. The perfect spot to go. With another right we were left with the dead end facing the back exit doors.13

"Over here!" Elisa shoved me into the creviced shadow behind a door. Shoulder to shoulder we positioned ourselves with Rin sitting across from us.14

The biggest smiles emerged and a random laugh escaped us all. I had no idea what the others were laughing at but it was Rin who I couldn't resist from cracking up. She was huffing and puffing, almost as if she had seen a ghost. Instantly she looked at me and shrugged like she had no idea what could be so funny. 15

"It's not my fault that I have a 'heart murmur'!" She retorted.16

Elisa shush'd us both and peeked her head around the corner. "I think they're coming!!!" she said in a whispered, almost about to shout. 17

"Don't breathe!" I warned them. Without another word I held my breath.18

Rin rolled her eyes at me. I looked innocent, as I always did, and finally exhaled after my body forced me to. "You're stupid Mikky." She would normally say. However I knew she was thinking the same thing.19

"I lied." Elisa joked. "I didn't see them.. but we're being too loud."20

"Too loud? Ha! Never.." Rin pulled out her cellphone. Of course I dont trust her so my eyes track her every movement. "Hey Mikky."21

"What?" I responded automatically with the giggly's.22

"How do you feel, being in the dark hallway?"23

I restrain myself from laughter. "... Well.... I don't know... You're asking the wrong person! And ya?"24

"Oh nothing... I just recorded you. I still am" A smirk grew up on her face. "Cuz I am amazing!!"25

I rolled my eyes.26

A shrill shriek sounded as Tim jumps out before us. My heart was pounding. Me and Elisa held on to each other from fear and instant surprise. We begin to laugh again, like complete lunatics when I knew that I was the one that screamed. I flushed bright red, knowing that everyone in the school could have probably heard me.27

"Hey, Tim!" Elisa whispered to him after our combined laughter choir died down. "Go find another group first so we won't be the seekers next. Okay?"28

"I'll try." He replied with a large smile. I knew he was full as energy as anyone else. He ran off to return 4 minutes later that there was another group in that same hallway that knew were found before them.29

It wasn't long until we hid again and told stories to each other! 30
