chapter 2-no title yet

There was nobody inside. Ugh, where are they? I asked aloud, not thinking anybody was home.1

“They weren’t home when I got home an hour ago.” Said my annoying brother Kyle.2

“What are you doing home?” I asked suspiciously.3

“It’s none of your damn business” I was shocked. My brother usually never swears.4

“Oh, so now you’re swearing?” When did that start?” I asked.5

“I said it’s none of your business.” He shouted in my face. So I pushed him into his room.6

“And stay there. I’ll let mom know what you did when they get back.” I said loudly.7

“Whatever.” I heard him say as I went downstairs. I turned on the computer and went to get something to drink. When I got back there was an IM from Tiffany.8

Tiffbaby21: omg, finally, what happened w/ Declan today?9

Emman3121: well basically I tripped and he helped me up. But stupid me, I didn’t invite him to your party.10

Tiffbaby21: Don’t worry I know some of his friends. I’ll invite him. So are you going to come then? 11

Emma3121: I suppose. What time should I be there?12

Tiffbaby21: well you could come and help set up.13

Emma3121: yeah, ok, what time?14

Tiffbaby21: um…..about 2. And bring whatever you’re going to wear.15

Emma3121: ok, do you want to help me pick out something to wear? I could really use help.  16

Tiffbaby21: yeah sure, I’ll be there around noon. Ok.17

Emma3121: ok, thanks. Well I’ll see you tomorrow.18

Tiffbaby21: ok, later.19

Emma3121: later 20

I quickly signed off and went back upstairs.21

“Kyle, you hungry?” I asked. He opened the door and nodded. 22

“Well what do you want?” I asked turning towards the kitchen.23

“Um, how about pizza?” he said opening the freezer.24

‘Sure, hand it here.” I said, extending my arm. I opened it and put it in the oven.25

“You can go back to whatever you were doing. I’ll let you know when it’s done.” 26

“Ok and I would really appreciate it if you didn’t tell mom about me swearing. I apologize and I won’t do it again.” He said sincerely.27

“Fine, I won’t tell.” I said eyeing him up. He got up and went back to his room. I went into the living room and turned the TV on. Just then I got a text from Chloe28

Hey Em, what’s shakin? Lol29

Not much, so are u going to Tiffany’s party this weekend?30

Yup, she’s making me 31

Lol, Ik the feeling32

It’ll be ok though, Declan’s coming33

Yeah that’s the only good part.34

Well I’ll see you tomorrow.35

Wow. *rolls eyes*38

I snapped my phone shut and went to check on the pizza. It was almost done.39

“Kyle, the pizza’s almost done.” I yelled. I heard a door open and close. He came in, shuffling his feet.40

“Grab two plates please.”41

“Sure” he went over to the cupboard and brought two plates.42

‘Help yourself.” I said. He took a few pieces and I did the same. I told him he could eat in his room, but not to make too much of a mess and he did. I ate, went to do my homework and take a shower. I knocked on Kyle’s door to see if he was still awake. He wasn’t, so I turned off his light and went back into my room. I fell asleep soon after.43

The next day I woke up, got dressed, went to wake my brother up, made breakfast, put make up on, and got my brother to school, all on time. When I pulled into the parking lot, I saw Declan again. I got out of my ’93 Firebird, he looked at me. I smiled and went towards Tiffany and them. The bell rang and I hurried to my homeroom. I noticed Declan coming over, so I went over to my locker.44

“Hey Emma” I looked up and he was leaning up against a locker.45

“Hey declan, what’s up?” I asked, getting my algebra book. 46

“I was just wondering if you are going to Tiffany’s party this weekend.” He asked quickly, but I had understood it.47

“Umm…yeah I am, did she invite you?” 48

“Yeah, yesterday.” 49

“That’s good. Well I should get going. See you tomorrow.” I closed my locker and started going to my homeroom. The rest of the day, nothing really happened. By the time I got home with Kyle, I looked on my IM and Tiffany said she was coming over with clothes, if we couldn’t find anything here. I went over to Kyle’s bedroom. I knocked and waited.50

“Come in.” 51

“Hey, Tiffany is coming over, so if you need anything knock before coming in ok?” I said.52

“Yeah, what’s for supper?” 53

“Um, what do you want?” I said turning towards the kitchen.54

“Do we have stuff to make tacos?” Kyle asked.55

“Yup. I’ll start making it at 5 ok.”56

“Ok, let me know when it’s done.” 57

“Yup.” I left the kitchen and went to turn the TV on. As I was sitting down, the door bell rang. I went to answer it.58

‘Hey Tiff, It’s about time jeez.” I teased, sticking out my tongue. 59

“Well if you don’t want my help, I’ll just leave.” She started to turn, but I grabbed her arm.60

“Come on, let’s go.” We got downstairs and started to go through my clothes. We eventually picked out a pair of distressed blue jeans, a pink halter top with a half jacket over it. So, I went upstairs with Tiffany behind me, to make supper. 61

“Do you wanna stay for dinner?” 62

“No my parents are probably wondering where I am. I’ll see you tomorrow.”63

“Ok, I’ll be at your house at 2.” 64

“Ok, see ya.” Tiffany said as she closed the door. I went in the kitchen and started to make dinner. About half an hour later dinner was done. 65

“Kyle, suppers ready.” I yelled.66

“Ok, I’ll be right there.” He yelled back. I took the taco shells out of the oven, and the lettuce out of the fridge. He came in and made his plate, got something to drink and went back to his room. I ate in the living room again, and went down in my room after. As I got into my room I had 2 IM’s on my screen. One from Tiffany and one from somebody I didn’t know. I clicked on Tiffany’s first.67

Tiffbaby21: Hey, I forgot to give you something while I was at ur house.68

Emma3121: what??69

Tiffbaby21: I got Declan’s IM name today.70

Emma3121: HOW COULD YOU FORGET THAT???!!!!71

Tiffbaby21: Sorry. Do you want it?72

Emma3121: hell yeah I want it.73

Tiffbaby21: ok, it’s D-Man7.74

Emma3121: k, thanks. I’ll see ya tomorrow. 75

Tiffbaby21: yup. Later. 76

I closed the window and went to add Declan to my list of Friends. After I did, he wasn’t on, so I signed out. Kyle opened my door and told me he was going to bed.77

“Alright, see ya in the morning.”78

“Yeah, you to.” He said before closing my door. I did my history homework, and then started getting ready for bed. I fell asleep thinking about what’s going to happen tomorrow.79
