The mother wolf, Assyria, and her cub, Seth, watched Gerinode fall to the ground. Assyria lunged at the thought of the man who had killed the only kindly woman she had met. Seth took the hilt of the knife in his mouth and pulled it out. He lapped at the blood, knowing it was too late to save the woman who, on several occasions, saved him. He whimpered and put his head over the wound.1

Assyria Fought wildly with three of the priests. The four stood back waiting for a perfect opportunity. When he got a clear shot at her he threw a dagger into the back of the valiantly fighting Assyria, between her shoulder blades. ?Evil beast? said the head priest as Assyria fell gracefully to the ground. Seth whimpered and ran.2

Samuel was running as though all of the elements pushed him on. He stopped suddenly and dropped to his knees. He looked up to see a blue glass full of ashes start to float. Signing a wordless song3

Seth ran as fast as his tinny padded paws would take him. He found the cove where Samuel was. Seth watched in amazement as the ashes danced for Samuel around his head. Seth approached cautiously and put his head on the small boy?s knee.4
