Hotel Room

We were sitting on our bed, in the hotel that we rented for the night. We knew that this was the night, the night that we would never forget.1

I was a little scared, and little tears fell from my eyes as I stared at you. I knew this day would come, but who knew it would come soo soon.2

"What wrong, Emily?" You asked me, your voice high from worrying.3

"I'm just a little nervous, that's all," I replied calmly.4

"I know...me too." So we just stared into eachother's eyes, and I saw from yours the emotions I needed to know. Suddenly, the room became still as I realized that we were doing this for the right reasons...That we weren't just another pair of crazy teenagers. That we were doing this for love.5

In the back of my mind, I could see our mothers crying together. They wold never be prepared for this, especially your Mom. She was trying to put this off as long as possible, but it couldn't be put off any more.6

I focused back on us, and we were lying together, just cuddling. I stared at you lovingly, having known well in advanced that you were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. 'Someday we'll be married,' I thought to myself.7

"Are you all right now?" You asked softly, slightly hesitant.8

"Yes, I'm fine now. And you?"9

"Yeah..."10

I let go of you slowly, letting our faces meet, letting my lips slip into yours. They made a perfect match.11

Everything went so perfectly after that. It went in sequence, like it was meant to happen. This was how the Fates were telling us that we were meant for each other.12

It hurt a lot, but you were gentle. So slow and steady...13
