Justice Without Borders

There are countless issues with the United States at the moment, with the economy in a downfall and the war in Iraq, and health care and these are all very significant issues. But, the issue I would like to tackle is with the International Criminal Court which is a World Wide Court system than prosecutes Crimes against Humanity such as genocide and human rights violations. 2

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has helped numerous countries get out of dreadful situations and get out from under revolting dictators.3

Right at the moment, there are in excess of 150 countries implicated with the ICC and the US is not one of them. We have opposed the ICC for many years, and I think that it is time for a change. 4

We should submit to the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court for many reasons.5

The ICC punishes crimes against humanity and those happen everywhere in the world, including the US. The ICC promotes justice without borders and world peace. The US should be a part of that. We need to be involved in what is happening all around the world, and the ICC is a major part of that. 6

If the United States joins the ICC in their fight for Justice Without Borders, it would positively influence us in many ways and the outcome could be great. Therefore the United States Ought to submit to the Jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.7

    This is very interesting. I would like to know more about this ICC. I have never heard of it. What is the good and bad of it. If we do what you want... will we lose something in doing it? Who is on the panel that judges the criminals? Who decides if they are even criminals or not? It might be a good idea but I would need to know more about it if I were to say yes, but it does sound like a good thing to discuss though.
