'~~~~~*Chapter`2*~~~~~'2
She gave into the day. The smile on her face had worked so well for her as she walked around the hallways with the biggest one of them all; using it to project her so called, 'happiness'. Walking into classes, she smiled as if nothing was possibly wrong in the world of her twisted thoughts in her mind. No one realized how much pain she went through every night in her mind. Did they even try to understand? No. Why, you ask? Because she never let it show. The day went by slow to her; lying when people would say, 'Wow! Today is going by so fast!' and agree with them. Her body seemed to move so swiftly following the crowds of high school students talking and hurrying to class, while her mind sets off on the opposite foot towards to doors of eternal hell. As she splits apart, the 'happiness' follows a crowd of friends into class, while the true 'deviled child' walked out the school doors to await her other side at home. 3
Her 'happy' side walked around, talking to her friends with such a cute smile on her sweet face. A pinch of glitter from her bronze press-powder glistened as they passed the glass doors. 'She's such a lovely one,' they would compliment her. Now, this side of her appreciated even the little compliments. She believed it makes her a better person to hear what others think of her, weather it being a compliment or a harsh comment. Aside from that, they walked along the halls to class. As it was about one minute until the bell was to ring for the period to begin, they went their separate ways. But not before the exchange of friendly girl-friend to girl-friend 'i love you''s and 'don't forget to write me back, you bitch!'. A way they'd always messed around was to call each other by 'harsh' names. Although they used this in such a humorous way, they also knew when the line has been crossed. After the exchange of remarks and teasing, they separated and went to class. 4
She laughed away the period, trying to enjoy herself and the jokes going around the room. It was her favorite period of the day, 6th period, English. Today, they were writing poems. Poems being something she enjoyed using as an outlet, she expressed some of her feelings in the opposite way. Say she was felling sad, she'd write a poem about love. She never let anyone know how her true and real feelings were. No one understood that everything she wrote was opposite. The room suddenly became quite as everyone started to work, so she too also began to work on her love poem to the one who she hopes to one day love her back. 5
'Oh the love we share, words just cannot explain6
What we have is so strong, feelings of going insane7
The words that are said mean everything from the heart8
Never separated for the times away felt like a sharp dart9
No one will ever be able to love him as I do10
And no one else will be able to pick him up when he's blue11
No one else knows me as he does, knowing what I do and don't like12
None other is is name, than ----'13
The name brought bell chimes to her mind, but was quickly erased by the true feeling of sadness. She crumpled the paper up and started over again. This time writing a poem about a flower blooming and relating it to a new relationship about to start. Content with her write, she turns it into the teacher. Mrs. Anderson, her English teacher at the time, quickly reads over it, looks up and gives her one of those 'great job, young lady' smiles and tells her that she may work on any other homework she may have. Little did Mrs. Anderson know that she really wasn't as happy as she thought she was when she was writing the poem. What the young child was really thinking will never be written on paper, but when the time comes, it'll be for everyone to see.14
Meanwhile, her other parted side decided to take a little detour and watch as the other side of her walked with all her friends. She hangs her head down low and shakes it side to side saying to herself, 'What a dumb child she is.' She then decides to take a peek onto the classroom she had just entered to take a gander at what she was doing. 'Poetry again? C'mon now you little devil, I know you can do better than that!' Disappointment. She leaves now. Right as she's about to walk out the double doors into the world outside the school building, she turns and yells back at her parted happiness, 'Be ready for tonight, my deviled child.' And with that she went away. She walked around for a while, angered at what she saw in her other side. The happiness was to much to bare. So she returned to her beloved home; a mirror that hung in a silent little bodied girl's room next to a door that led to a closet.15
