The Kiss of Death: Preface and Chapter One

Preface:1

There were four of them. 2

Kat was deep, beautiful, strong, independent, a been-through-a-lot person... long dark brown hair, big brown eyes with long eyelashes, full luscious lips, was born a fairy princess, but turned from her fate long ago... She wore dark a lot (a back mini skirt, stripped leggings, converse, and a tank top would be her usual outfit) her dark hair flowed naturally behind her, her wings sticking out. Her wings were beautiful: mainly black with hot pink and purple designs. She was nineteen and one of Flaed's best friends.3

John was human. He had brown hair, blue eyes, more of the skater types, but not really preppy or emo. Just somewhere in between. He was eighteen. Doesn't remember a single thing of his past because some one shot him in the head and so they had to do a background check on him so that he could know who he was and such. He is also Kat's cousin which is why he hanged around Kat, Shaun, and Flaed. That and partly because he had nowhere else to go.4

Shaun was a dark pessimistic vampire. He was twenty-one with black hair which was kind of longish and dead strait. He had blue/gray eyes, that flicker black when overcome by emotion, like when he becomes dangerous. He was quite and easily provoked. Passionate when he cared. Always seemed to have a couldn't care less attitude. He was strong... You know, normal vamp stuff. He could also fly, carrying a couple people with him.5

And finally, Flaed. She was ditsy cute, lost puppy dog kinda person. She was seventeen. Flaed had long, butt length, dirty blond hair that was strait. She had blue/green bright eyes. Total barbie in appearance. Super sweet, sugar coated personality. She was more human than Shaun and Kat, but not as human as John... She was a different being. She was a healer.6

Kat, John, Shaun, and Flaed mostly lead a normal teenage life. Fairies were common, though none had magical powers like Kat and none could fly either (their wings were useless), and Shaun and Flaed at first glance looked ordinary. No fuss no muss. It was easy.7

But as normal as they lived, these four had a lot of stories both ahead for them and behind them. Lets fast forward to the day that everything changed. A lot of things were about to happen that would change their lives the way they knew it now. Who Shaun and Kat are just might destroy it all for them and John and Flaed were about to grow up and learn some lessons in life. They just didn't know it yet.8

They were all at a party last night and it's in the morning now. John had his first beer and he and Flaed both woke up with a hangover. They are now at the park.12

Kat and John are sitting at the top of the hill as Flaed and Shaun walk up. 13

"Hey you," says Kat to Flaed.14

John stands up and screams, "Whats up!?" he then stumbles and falls while Kat laughs at him.15

Flaed goes to hug Kat, but ends up puking over her shoulder instead. She collapses on top of Kat, exhausted. Kat laughs hysterically when Flaed falls on her. Shaun watches, bored. He kicks John on his way by and picks Flaed up like a cat. 16

"Ow!" John screams when Shaun kicks him. Flaed meows. Shaun manages to get her in a standing position without flashing everyone for once.17

"I don't feel so good," Flaed says. She then sees John and says, "Hi JayJay." She crawls over to him, and she lays on top of him. 18

"Hi Flaed," he replies. 19

Shaun scowls (his normal appearance), sits down next to Kat, and says, "Hey."20

"Whats up?" Kat asks to no one in particular. 21

Flaed, still on top of John, hugs him. "So, did ya like, sleep by yourself last night?" she asks concerned.22

"I hope so," says John as he returns the hug. Kat points her finger, whispers something, and then some coke pops up for all. 23

"You were both so wasted last night," Kat teases John and Flaed as Shaun pouts.24

Shaun then smiles, faintly. "Puny humans," he says.25

"You poor thing!" Flaed says to John. A lot of times she says things that had nothing to do with what was going on now. "I only had a glass of wine or two..." Flaed gets confused "Oh look a butterfly!" she happily states. Shaun snorts.26

Kat rolls her eyes and smiles at how typical of a situation this was. She then pulls out her camera and snaps a picture. 27

"Whatchya doin with the camera?" asks John. 28

"I'm saving this for keepsake," replies Kat. 29

"Why?" asks John. 30

"Why not?" Kat says back. Kat then notices Flaed staring at the butterfly. "Go ahead and chase it already!" Kat says, laughingly.31

Flaed gets up and chases the butterfly. Then she runs over to Kat and sits in her lap, snuggling down for a nap.32

Shaun walks over to John and picks him up, distastefully. "Neh. Your a disaster"33

Kat laughs at Flaed and holds her in her arms. "Hey what are you doing??" she asks Shaun. John just stares wide eyed.34

Shaun twitches. "You disgust me," he says to John. Shaun is vocal, wow he's being friendly!35

Flaed falls asleep.36

Shaun sighs and sets John back down.37

He looks down over at Flaed. "I'm kinda hungry."38

"What do you want to eat?" asks Kat as she strokes Flaed's hair.39

Shaun rolls his eyes. "The same thing I always eat." He almost smiles at Flaed (big breakthrough!)Flaed mumbles in her sleep.40

Kat points her finger, mumbles something, and then gives him the same thing he always eats: a crap load of people from the war. 41

"Oh wow," says Kat, "You almost smiled... that's a first." She looks down at Flaed and sees John asleep too, using Flaed's legs as a pillow. At this, Kat smiles.42

Shaun grumbles something about them being already dead and how that's gross.43

Kat laughs and then points her finger to make the dead people disappear. "Well who do you want to eat besides John, Flaed, or me," she asks.44

Shaun looks at Flaed tenderly. "It can wait," he says.45

He sits down next to Kat and starts braiding Flaed's hair.46

Kat smiles and then looks up at Shaun "You love her as a sister don't you?" she asks just because she knows how hard it is to get emotion out of him.47

"Love is a strong emotion, but possessiveness is more forward," says Shaun a hint of pain and regret flickers in his eyes for a brief second.48

Flaed blinks sleepily up at Kat. "He's my protector," she says. And then Flaed adds, "Are you two going to go back out?! John said you went out a while a go before I came. He said you really loved each other."49

John perks up from her lap. "Flaed! Don't ask questions like that, it's rude," he scolds. 50

Shaun grimaces and ignores the rest of what had happen. "You do have a tendency to need protection," he says gruffly, trying not to show feeling.51

Kat nods. "I know what you mean," she says to Shaun. Kat then smiles at the remarks Flaed and Shaun had just made. Shaun scowls at Kat in a you-think-you-know-everything-don't-you kinda way. 52

Flaed sits straight up. "Swimm!!!" She strips off her dress and runs over to a little ducky-puddle-pond-thing. Splishy splash! Shaun sits there, scowling (he could almost remind you of Snape) with Flaed's dress on top of his head, where she threw it.53

Flaed is now in a black lacy thong and bra combo, soaking wet, in the duck hangout thing.54

Kat laughs at Flaed and ignores Shaun.55

John strips down to his blue plaid boxers and joins Flaed. "Kat, get your ass in here!" John screams.56

"I'm coming I'm coming" Kat strips down to a black and pink striped pantie and bra combo leaving Shaun glowering as always.57

"I hope some hobo gets your clothes!" screams Shaun. He gets up and looks around for the police. He shrugs and wades in after Flaed to save her from an angry duck mommy.58

Flaed tries to pet the duck babies, but doesn't understand why the mommy is being so mean. She howls and starts crying when she gets bitten. Then, she tackles John trying to get away from them, knocking him over. Splash!59

"Aghh!" screams John when Flaed knocks him over.60

Shaun scowls. Drip, drip. 61

Kat laughs.62

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!! I'M SORRY!" Flaed panics.63

Shaun picks her up. "Shhh!" he somehow screams.64

John gets up and laughs. "It's okay, Flaed. Don't worry so much." He goes over and hugs her.65

Kat just shakes her head and smiles.66

"Ooh.. can we go shopping???? Kat you need new undies," asks Flaed.67

Shaun raises one eyebrow slightly. "So do you, Flaed."68

Flaed looks down, "Whats wrong with this??? Is it 'cause it's kinda see through?"69

"No, no that's fine," says Shaun nervously (cough cough)70

Flaed gets confused. "Well...?"71

Shaun hands Flaed to Kat. "Here, you guys have fun." He hands her his credit card and flits off.72

"Why doesn't Shaun like my undies?" asks Flaed. She looks at John. "Do you like my undies????" Flaed pouts.73

Kat pulls out credit card and some $100s. "Lets go!"74

"Yes, Flaed," replies John, "I like your undies."75

Flaed's eyes light up. "Cool!" She looks back at John "But, but, Shaun left.. Who'll tell me what to get?" She runs back and grabs John. "Come with us pwease! I need some new thongs! I can't ever find where I put 'em!" She links arms with John and Kat.76

Kat laughs, points her finger, and the three are outside of the mall and clothed. "Come on," she says pulling Flaed, "Victoria's Secret is having a sale!"77

John laughs and follows.78

"Oh, okay. but I don't know what to get.. And I.. um... Well, I need help getting it on. Shaun always dresses me." She smiles. "Ooh!!! PINK!!!" She dives into a pin of undies, showering the closest people in lacy,see through,and/or silky panties. She pops back up, holding a pink thong contraption, with another pantie on her head and one on her shoulder. *79

Kat laughs and pulls her away from the big mess, grabbing what Flaed wanted. "You're going to get us kicked out of the store!" she scolded a distracted Flaed. 80

...After their Victoria Secret rampage, Kat and John linked arms with Flaed and left to go to Kat's house and meet Shaun. 81

"Hey Shaun," Kat smiled as they walked into the living room. 82

Flaed noticed that Shaun looked strained. Something was wrong. "But what could possibly be wrong? Everything was fine a few minutes ago," she thought.83

"Hmm... he hasn't kicked me yet," John thought.84

Shaun whispers something that sounded like Kat, but none of them knew for sure. He had a pained expression.
