Rapunzel's untold story part 14: Dragons, knights, eggs, fights and magic?

Two days passed as Rapunzel stayed in her tower as Kumquat had visits from many male dragons. This was to be expected since Female dragons were only one out of every five dragons. Rapunzel made a note of the dragons that visited to see if she could figure out the future babies Kumquat was gonna have. Shadow was the black one, a sliver ice dragon from the north, a deep green earth dragon, then a light green earth dragon, a fire dragon with a blaze of red skin, a extremely light blueish white air dragon, and many others. Even several run of the mill dragons to fruit dragons all courted Kumquat.1

Rapunzel sighed and went about her own business inside the tower using a crystal ball to keep an eye on Dawn and Beauty. "Not good, Beauty is rejecting her. While Kumquat quit that valgur display and help me?" she grumbled as she looked into the crystal ball.2

"You whined?" said a sweet motherly yet humor filled voice at the window. Rapunzel got up and pulled back the curtain to see Kumquat who was smiling. If Rapunzel wasn't use to dragon smiles she would be afraid since she could see many teeth.3

"Let's go! Trouble is brewing. With all these dragons around Grandmom has enough to distract her for a good few hours since they may step on her garden." said Rapunzel who jumped out the window onto Kumquat's neck with a bag of magic tricks just to be ready for anything.4

"Ready to go, girly!" said Kumquat as they flew off to the castle of Princess Dawn, the beast. They chated the whole way there happily. Rapunzel learned that another female dragon who lived near the tower had recently been slayen and her eggs stolen by a knight. So Kumquat was getting more suiters then normal. "wait! What is that smell? Dragon eggs!" roared Kumquat and she flew down to the ground to see a Knight.5

Rapunzel jumped off Kumquat as Kumquat roared at the Knight. "Hello, Mister Knight. I am guessing you just slayed a dragon." said Rapunzel as the Knight grabbed his sword and smirked.6

"yeah and gonna slay me another one. The king is gonna pay me big bucks for this!" said the brown haired knight. 7

Rapunzel stared at him. "The king is gonna pay for you to kill a mother and steal her eggs and then a person's pet dragon?" asked Rapunzel with a cold tone and look. 8

"That is your dragon?" he asked pointing to Kumquat with his sword. Kumquat roared again steping forward ready to bite him in two.9

"Yes, the dragon eggs if you please. Unless you want to die a slow and painful death by a witch and her dragon." she said Holding her hand out. The knight backed up and went to his horse and retrived the bag with 5 eggs in it. "they are getting cold." said Rapunzel as she felt the eggs when she took the bag.10

"Murderer! kill the mother and her babies! I shall kill you!" cried Kumquat.11

"Stop! I can handle this." said Rapunzel as she took the eggs and put them in another bag. "This is a heat bag. Made for incubateing dragon eggs. It can fit up to 20 eggs in here." she said and smiled before taking out a littlier bag of powder as she let the dragon egg bag lay at her side. she threw the black powder on the knight. 12

"What is this?" cried the knight who started to transform. He shrank and turned purple. Then he grew a shell. After a minute, he was a purple egg the size of a dragon egg. Kumquat looked at Rapunzel in question as Rapunzel picked up the egg and went to the horse and took all the stuff from it and sprinkled the dust onto the horse which turned into a bright blue dragon egg which Rapunzel picked up too. She placed both the eggs into dragon egg bag. 13

"What did you do!??!" roared Kumquat with a bit of fire coming from her mouth making some of Rapunzel's hair and clothes burnt a little. 14

Rapunzel looked at Kumquat with an honest sweet look. "I made him and his horse into dragon eggs that will become female dragons. What more fitting then having to become that which you killed to help repopulate the race which you decreased. Hopefully this time he will be better for it. Now, let's take this stuff of his and sell it in town." she said.15

Kumquat nodded and picked up the stuff and Rapunzel. She took off flying. "I would have never thought of that!" said Kumquat with a smile and laugh. To town she flew. "I am so lucky to have you!" she said laughing.16

After Rapunzel sold the knight's belongings she and Kumquat got to the Beast's castle in time to hear Beauty scream as Princess Dawn roared. Beauty came running screaming and crying towards them as Rapunzel got off Kumquat. Princess Dawn in her beast fury came bounding after her roaring and growling looking like a monster. Beauty hid behind Rapunzel as Princess Dawn came up with a claw out ready to slash. "Stop! I am with child!" cried Rapunzel.17

Princess Dawn stopped as she looked at Rapunzel as did Beauty. "Really?" asked Princess Dawn who didn't know how to behave at this. 18

"yes... 7 of them." said Rapunzel as she picked up the dragon egg bag and showed them. Their eyes sparkled and stared in awe. 19

"Who, those are dragon eggs! Why are you carrying them?" asked Beauty as Rapunzel swatted away Beauty's hands as she tried to touch them.20

"The mother died. so I am taking care of them. I will raise them." she said fondly as she smiled at the eggs. 21

"You are gonna raise 7 dragons? Are you nuts!" cried Dawn as she looked at Rapunzel. 22

Rapunzel smiled. "Not 7. 12! Kumquat is gonna lay 5 in a month! Kumquat will help me raise them. They all hatch at different times. Lucky thing is dragon eggs always hatch a dragon. no duds!" said Rapunzel smiling. "Now, what has been the problems you two?" said Rapunzel trying to get off the subject of dragons as she tucked the bag close and hid it in her cloak.23

"She is impossible! She downright doesn't even listen to me! If I hadn't knocked down her door she wouldn't have gotten out of her room at all!" roared Dawn.24

"Stupid beast! I hate monsters!" snapped Beauty who stormed off.25

"You need to control your temper! Now, I am gonna talk to her! Kumquat, talk some sense into Dawn." said Rapunzel who then ran after Beauty.
