My Great Life ~Chapter 5~

Its been a week so Amy must be back from Catalina by now.  So far this week I've rearranged my room twice, played cards with myself a million times, stared at the ceiling, tried to write a letter, and looked at old yearbooks.  Dad's been working so much he hasn't had time to set up the computer and Internet.  Mom's been looking at schools for me to attend.  So far she's suggested a prep school.....barf....and a charter school......no thanks......I wish I were still in California!1

"MELISSA!"2

"WHAT?!?"...... no answer, that means get off your butt and get in here. "COMING!"  Great, she's looking at another brochure.3

"I think I found it Hun!"4

"Please tell me its not a prep school or something!"5

"Nope, its a public school!  Just what you wanted! Have a seat."  Here we go.  "Oh and I want your opinion on those brownies!"  AAHHHHH!6

"I'll try 'em later!  So what's this school?"7

"It's called Violet High after the state flower and it's not far from here!"8

"Do they offer choir?"9

"Hmmm....hold on let me see......yes they do!  So are you willing to check it out?"10

"I guess."  It sounds ok....probably not as good as in San Diego though.11

"Good!  I'll call them and schedule an appointment!"  12

Well Amy was supposed to call me yesterday but she never did.  We have an appointment for Violet High in two days and I'm NOT looking forward to it.  I've decided I'm gonna BEG Amy to get Matt to drive her little butt over here and take me home!14

"MELISSA!  PHONE!"15

"K!  I GOT IT!  Hello?"16

"Hey Missy!"17

"Amy!  Where have you been?!?"18

"Yeah I was gonna call the minute I got home but we had done an all nighter so I was dead all day!"19

"It's ok!  So how was the weather?" Here it comes...I torture myself by asking but I'm being a good friend!20

"Actually it rained the whole time!  Thats why we ended up doing an all nighter on the boat...not the greatest trip we've taken.  What did you do all week?"21

"Well I played cards with myself, stared at the ceiling, and a few other 'EXCITING' things!"22

"Wow, sounds like fun!"23

"Oh yeah.  Oh yeah, my mom found another school and we have an appointment in two days."24

"Ooooh...lucky you!--AMY!  PHONE PLEASE!"25

""RRRRRRRR!""  we growled that in unison by the way.26

"Well, I guess I'll talk to you later.  Hey tell your dad to hurry up with the computer already!"27

"OK I will, bye!  Love ya!"28
