Inspired!

I twas inspired to begin to write when very young and under a great deal of stress in my life. I honestly cannot remember how I wound up with a pen in one hand and a pad in the other...it seems they have always been nearby.1

My life tis most definitely my main inspiration for writing. I write when I feel sad or upset most often. But even happiness can inspire me as well. I love writing stories and being able to slip into the life of my characters, or write about how I wish or hope my life to be in the future. I also love to just start writing my thoughts and feelings and see what comes out of it. 2

I have always been a "writing" writer. Meaning I write things out, quite labouriously, on paper. I then, if I feel the work tis good enough, type it up and of late have submitted the writing on StoryWrite for all to see. I write when I am locked in my cell. This can be early in the morning, the afternoon, or the eve. I tend to be more inspired when I first awaken...but any time tis a good time for me. I have in the past enjoyed either a cup of tea or a shot of whiskey while writing. 3

I do enjoy writing fiction and generally it is the sexual/love story variety. I also enjoy non-fiction and just telling about my life. Poetry seems to flow the easiest and most often from my fingers. 4

When I do write fiction, I think of names that I like as well as names that do not belong to anyone I know. In a recent story which twas based on people in my life...I used names similar to theirs as a sort of "code." I definitely base my characters on different aspects of myself as well as upon people that I know. 5

I tend to have a basic idea of where I am going with a story...but I do not write outlines ahead of time. Quite often a story will take on its own life and go places I did not quite expect it to go! Poetry just seems to come rushing out of me with no pre-planning and certainly no real effort on my part. Tis as if they demand to be written and so...they are. 6

My writing space has often inspired me...I have written quite a few pieces having to do with being in prison. My cell tis nothing much...gray walls, cement floors, a mesh-barred metal door, shelf that tis supposed to be a bed, and a toilet in the corner. Not very cheerful of a place but...thank goodness for my wonderful imagination! It takes me anywhere I need to go...and with my writing, I can take YOU there as well. 7

Imagination is such a powerful source. They say that imagination can make or break a person and evidently cross the lines.

I can never imagine what kind of conditions you are unde,r but I do know that being a writer even in the worst of places can be a blissful thing.

    Writing can bring people together.

I think if I was given the chance to go away for a week in a safe cell with just a paper and pen I would have no choice but to choose between my own safe sanity and the danger the paper held before me.

    Thanks for the wonderful read
Good luck with writing in o9
    and with my contest.

I know what you mean by that! I guess that is what draws me to your writing, the same genres that we enjoy.

Very well done Love. There are a few places i noticed in the first few paragraphs where there is a word omitted or added but still beautifully done.

Paragraph 1 = I twas inspired you to begin to write when very young and under a great deal of stress in my life. doesn't need the you.

Paragraph 2 = I write when I sad or upset most often. should this have an am between I and sad?

Hmmmm, wonder if You are testing me about being honest Love.

    i Love You!
