When i found it Valuable

when i first got the call about gram gram dying, i didnt know what to expect. Was i sad? A little, was i mad? Not really, was i any other emotion? Nope. I barley knew the woman! But then i found out something a little more interesting.1

Gram gram was an employee to the children's foundation for cancer. I guess people had payed Gram gram lots of money to find a cure for cancer. She had come close many times, making her richer than rich! But she had never told her own daughter, my mother, anything about this. I guess right before Gram gram died she came so close that now the scientists thought that one more try and they would find the cure for every cancer known to this world! Breast cancer, lung cancer, anything!2

I guess they deposited 4 million dollars into her account 2 days before she died as a surprise. But Gram gram knew they were going to do it...which was slightly unexpected. Its like she had known the future all along. She wrote us this letter:3

Dear Beth,4

I know im old and i know my time has come5

youll find this when you get the invitation in the mail to come to tea6

there is no tea, just this letter7

but i have some in the cupboard and your welcome to it 8

My jaw literally dropped. I couldn't contain myself and i fainted. And i found out later my mom had to but unlike me, my dad had caught her before she hit the ground. We were all shocked that Gram gram hadn't told us about her fortune sooner but we understood why. She wanted it to be the surprise of our life!22
