Volunteering at the Scout BB-Q's. He was off to cook, I thought he had come with me. He was the life of the party, everyone standing around him as he told his redneck jokes. The water slide into the pool looked inviting , the fact that it was at the deep end and I was ten and could not swim never deterred me from daring to slide down. 21
