Christmas Rememberence

As I sat in my easy chair one winters eve, my thoughts wonder to a time when I was just a child.
A time spent with family and friends one Christmas season, at my grandma Ehret stately and butiful home. A place she dwellet
until her death, many years ago.
My thoughts take me to that butiful elaborate brick fireplace in the living room, how it was so cozy and warm, my heat was warmed by family all around.
I may have been five or so at the time, but I still remember the elegant Christmas tree in, what grandmother called The Great Hall. All decorated with shining lights, glistening garland, an oh how the tinsel shinned so vibrant with the
Christmas lights, reflecting there green, blue, red and white colors.1

Sence few houses where designed with Italianate, alot of people always pointed out the beautiful masonry work, the detail that had been put into the home was none short of breath taking.2

The porch and balconies added more elegance and charm, especially during the holiday season when they where all wrapped with garland and lights.3

The generously size rooms within the house and eleven foot celings where finished with walnut and butternut woodwork.4

The landscaping was devoted to nature, the trees and rose hedges where stuning and well cared for.5

    Good job!

Christmas time makes my home feel even more "homey" too.

I like your house. I wish mine had a big fireplace and balconies to sit on to watch for Santa.

    Thank you for entering.
