Thorina

A stream ripples in the distance, but I ignore it even though I am practically dying of thirst. I really am. But I need to get Thorina home. She's dying faster than I am and if she doesn't get home right now, winter would be lost altogether, and I'm so close.1

Three weeks before I found Thorina, the fairy of Winter, mangled by a crow that attacked her while she was spreading frost in my garden. I saved her but since then have been traveling to get her home. Back to the Oak of Service, the only real thing that can heal her and bring winter to my homeland which is in dire need of snow.2

I see the golden leaves of the tree up ahead, I need to hurry. Thorina's light is fading, fast. I spped into a sprint and just as I reached the great tree I collapsed. But I reach up and place her gently onto one of the roots. I fall and fade into the darkness, but not before seeing her glow brighter and brighter.
