A Spanish dove diving through the air
A gentle breeze, unseen and unaware
A star that shines a lone on the coldest night
A hand that reaches out and holds on tight2

I am a wingless bird

My life is evanescent
A gossamer veil of wind

You are a rhapsody
Written in the mountain sides3

For without you

An unborn babe’s first life within the womb
A rose that lay across an empty tomb
A beatific song written on the waves
A treasure meant to love and meant to save5
