You can find it anywhere. In any dictionary and then twist that definition for your own interpretation.5

Anyone can do it and I guarantee that everyone will have their own reasons behind the definition. 7

Firstly take away the fact that everyone’s initial thoughts are of in-adamant objects, like for example a cup: plastic bag or a camera, and then define what these things all have in common. 9

I can tell you right now that like the definition in the dictionary states, all these objects are meant for one time use, only to be thrown away.11

For Christ sake you can buy disposable cell phones, great of course for leaving barely or no evidence of anything. Yet if we take it back to something like a camera we can see that there is more to the object then meets the eye.13

What is behind the camera? What is in front of the camera? And more to the point what does the camera leave behind once it is disposed off?15

So I ask you now to look beyond the camera itself and then tell me what does the camera have in common with a human?17

If you said memories then you would be on the right track.19

See what a camera leaves behind can tell a story in itself, it can tell a life, just as people can tell a story and leave a life behind them. One that is disposable.21

What else is interesting about the memories that are left behind is that just like photographs they are a constant reminder of who we are, what we are and where we have been and like photographs nothing last forever.23

Photographs and memories all fade way long after the camera or human is disposed off. 25

So why is it that sometimes even that we keep these memories, these photographs long after they are meant to be thrown away?27

Is it because we are unable to discard or rid ourselves of something that seems so pointless and worthless to the person or people? Or are these objects and memories really meant to be disposed off?29

Are they really gifts given to hang onto long after the used by date is gone?33

    This really made me think, so in depth lol. Camera's and humans are so alike aren't they? The way we get tossed around, printed and chucked. Used and abused.

    How thoughtless this is. And what a good definition behind your new name, had me wondering why disposable.

    I really like the end. The words are so thoughtful, meaningful, and it made me actually think(hehe)about myself and why I keep memories that either don't make sense to keep, torture me, are of random times at random places, or a good memory I don't want to have. Just wish I could dispose of them, but I can't. I love the part about the camera. It is a memory in itself. Memories are forever, some not, some forgotten, others treasured. Very thought provoking! Great writing! It made me stop and think, which is really great considering I really need some inspiration! Thanks for the great read!
