The flames leap higher than heaven. These flames are hotter than hell. The flames devour everything in their path. One person stands within the fire. She puts up with the flames of rage. Flames of depression surround her. She feels it, but no longer burns...1
The night was dark. The clouds were about to release the huge drops of water the sun had soaked from a nearby ocean. And the child was weeping angrily.2
Her boyfriend had left her, her best friend believed lies and was starting to despise her, her own father had recently disowned her, and she was feeling quite alone in the world.3
Her mother tried turning the doorknob but she had locked it. Her mother knocked patiently but she ignored it. She didn't want to go through another conversation about how life was going to get better. Right then, she just didn't care.4
She heard her mother picking the lock...5

She couldn't stand it when her daughter locked herself in her room. It had been happening more often now that her own father had admitted his hatred toward an unwanted mistake. She was sure he had waited until their daughter--her daughter now--was a teenager, because he knew that she would take it the hardest at that age.7
She sighed. She would have to force her way in--again. She took the bobby pin she now always had on her and proceeded to pick the lock.8
When she finally picked the lock, she threw open the door and started in, "Cassidy, I--" She stopped short when she saws the open window and the empty floor. "Ugh! I don't know what to do with you anymore!" She yelled.9

Upon hearing the bobby pin in the doorknob, Cassidy took off. She opened her window, jumped out, and took off towards the beach.

the last line should maybe go before the part "when she finally picked the lock..." just an idea. other than that, I hope you finish this because I really like it.
