Invisable

You walk by me in the halls1

Never glancing my way2

Alwys looking at everyone else3

I try to get your attention4

But you don't seem to see me5

Its as if I don't exist6

You hang out with your friends7

Making jokes and laughing8

Alwys having a smile on your face9

I stand to the side10

Alone and quiet11

Hoping one day you'll notice me12

Hoping you'll finally see me13

You never talk to me14

But you talk to everyone else15

I guess you just don't like me16

I guess I don't matter to you17

I write you a letter18

And drop it in your locker19

Then go home to the gun that sits on my dresser20

I close my eyes and pull the trigger21

The next day you find my letter22

You only know who I am because of the news23

It neve occured to you that I might know you24

As you read my words you start to shake25

When your through, the note falls to the ground26

You finally see me27

You finally understand28

If you had just looked at me29

I would still be alive30

If only you had said hello to me31

My parents wouldn't be in mourning32

If you had smiled at me33

You wouldn't feel the guilt you feel now34

If only you had cared35

You would have discovered36

How much I loved you37

And how much it mattered to me38

For you to notice me39

Thats all I ever wanted

Author notes

Its very important to always care about people even if you don't know them, because you never know if you are the one person that helps them hold on.

    Intense.

This is crazy. Even though it's true that you should try to be nice to everyone, in the end all she was thinking about was herself. How could she put all of that guilt onto him? Anyways, Lines 3 and 9 Always is spelled as Alwys for some reason.

Your authors notes, I like. It makes me think.

As does your poem. I like it, and the meaning behind it.

    It's pretty powerful stuff, too.

Good work here, this has a lot of potential! =)

Thanks so much for entering my contest, and I wish you the best of luck!
