I like rounds contests where you work under pressure. I don't know how well I'll do with the deadlines, but since I hope to be a writer it will be good practice. My story above is (obviously) a science fiction, and if you don't know what a transgenic organisms or junk DNA or retroviruses are I'd love to explain . If this gets developed into a novel it'd obviously be explained through dialogue or exposition (have you read any Michael Crichton? He always has really scientific complex stuff that he explains beautifully).

Another reason I'm entering: I've had this idea forever, and I want to finally get it on paper. (..or in this case, the internet.)
