Have you ever noticed that "Peter Pan" is such a heartless story?2

Past the laughter and fun, it is just a cruel joke on Peter.3

Wendy Darling goes to a wonderful fantasy utopia where all of her dreams come true. Her tour guide is even her favorite story character!4

Here the harshness comes into play.5

Everyone feels bad for poor Wendy when Tiger-Lily kisses Peter. Wendy, of course, must love Peter- what other answer is there? He loves her, doesn't he?6

When Captain Hook captures her, Peter risks his life to save his lovely Wendy, who caused the trouble in the first place.7

They defeat the only threat, Hook. It's a perfect happily-ever-after, but wait! What is her next action?8

She leaves. She breaks his heart. She leaves him- but not forever. No, she has to hurt him even more. She next meets him in the sequel, "Return to Neverland". Peter Pan gets to see his perfect Wendy again, grown up and happily married to someone else. She breaks his heart again.9

Then, he meets Jane.10

He thinks she's perfect. She's his angel. She's his "lost girl."11

She ruins everything down in Neverland and nearly kills Tinkerbell. 12

They defeat big 'ol Hook again. Whoop-dee-frickin-doo.13

Then she leaves.14

Deja vu, eh, Peter?15
