Final Words to my Children

“In your life, be humble, happy and forgiving. I’m proud of you and I love you both more than words could ever say. So know in your hearts, when I am unable to speak these words, my heart will say I love you, every day with a smile.”

Author notes

This is my own personal quote. It's my last words to my children.

That's amazing. I should write some words to my children in case I'm unable to speak to them at my last moment. I love the sentiments you put in, especially the "humble, happy and forgiving." Who manages all three of those these days? Great quote!

Thank you for your kinds words. I've started a Memory Box for each of my kids and I'm putting little quotes and silly things they say in it. I'm not much of a scrapbooker or anything like that so this is my lame attempt at giving them a bit of their past.

That's the perfect word for this: magical.

I love the warmth in this. I think it's wonderful; it's so utterly full of love, it just radiates it.

The words are wise and yet, they're simple. They have that simplistic beauty that makes me smile.

    I love it.

Great work here; it really is magical. With this, you prove that your children are lucky ones, and we'll pray you won't have to say these words for a very, very long time.

Thanks so much for entering my contest, and I wish you the best of luck!

    xoxo

Thank you. I considered what I'd say... and honestly... that is my true wish for my children. I poured my heart into this and after I wrote it I shared it with my children. They are 8 and 10 so really don't "get" what I'm trying to say, but I've saved it for them and put it in their Memory Boxes.

Well that hits the mark. If that was said to me I would probably cry and hate you for it just because you had to say something so cruel. < I say this in a goodway by the way^^

But seriously those are stuff most people don;t want to hear because well usually people who are about to die say such stuff^^
