Why kill yourself if living promises more pain?

Umm,I said this to my friend who obviously is suicidal. And a cutter. She love to cut herself as she love the pain and blood. One day, she thought about killing herself,and she rang me asking what if she kill herself. I just want to scream at her,and cry.Instead of breaking down,crying and talk about God or stuff(which is always useless), I just told her that line I wrote.I know it's horrible to say it, but it work didn't it? She vows never to choose suicide,as she said "when you die,you cant feel pain."
