A ghost in time

The snow will never fall around us
I prefer to stand in the rain
tomorrow is a regret I can feel
departing our lives in different lanes1

It will be a pleasure
you’re deepening the pain
one more time again please
tell me you don’t feel the same2

I see the sun was shining
in your direction, I’m a cloud
I’ll infect you with the danger
of me you’ll be so proud3

The lighting it has hit us
a storm comes in tonight
I might have fought this one time
but I’m emptier inside4

So when the hail is over
when it’s taken what was mine
you will move on quickly
I won’t be by your side5

Your heart no longer with me
you will get on just fine
I will float in limbo
a ghost forever lost in time6

A poem written when I found something remarkable.

    I love this one Blair. I like this line the best "The snow will never fall around us I prefer to stand in the rain" I love to stand in the rain too.

    Wow, very beautiful Blair. You have such a way with words. I love the stanza, "Your heart no longer with me

    Yeah. Wonderful author note... haha. Make sure the other guys know that... because it's obvious who this is about--not me.

    But this was still very well written, buddy. I love the wording, the emotions and the way you wrote it, just all of it was plain fantastic. I loved it and hope you continue writing such amazing pieces of poetry and stories such as this one.
