Inside Wanting Out

I am once again alone.
Locked away in my small dark box
forgotten about
while others go about their daily lives.
Laughing,
playing,
living life.1

If only someone
anyone really
would open my box
include me in life
then I too
could live.2

Instead
I sit here
all alone
in my cold dark box
waiting
wanting
needing.
wishing.

wow, this seems a big contrast to the other one i just read. i completely relate to this one as i have battled depression in my life and this is a good description of how it feels sometimes. well written.

Beautiful write, trekkergirl. I saw much sadness here and much longing to be a part of someone elses life. You portrayed the feeling so well here and gave me a glimpse of someone so lost and in need. Wonderful.

I think you captured perfectly the despair of loneliness in this poem. I can definitely relate to this, and probably, so will many who read. The flow is perfect, too!
    Great write!
