I have a thousand reasons to believe in God cuz He lives in my heart and I don't need to believe in Him cuz I know Him. I'm a Muslim by the way.1
First, think back as back as you can go, we say universe was created after big bang and before that there was only a ball of gases butthan where those gases came from and why aren't there more Big Bangs. After the earth was created, from where the humans came? If we say they evolved from bacteria or monkey's than tell me why don't we evolve into other things now? This makes me believe in God. Now leave it at one side.2
Second, When you see around you see the nature and you are surprised how it is so perfect? You feel some divine power in every move of nature what's that power that makes the air sometimes a breeze and sometimes a storm. Imagine a ship that's moving through the sea without any driver, can u believe? No. Then can u imagine a whole bundle of galaxies working so perfectly without the Creator, The Controller? See man evolved but how is it that no man is the same. It is almost impossuible to fine two man alike. Then how is it all running without God. You haven't seen a seed growing outta the sand into a tree with fruit. Think can a small fragment give you such a big thing, than who is it. See the stars they all glint in different lights how? This all make wme believe ion that worthy God!3
Thirdly see around and think for a while that If men didn't fear the hell and didn't wished the Heaven would they ever understand the difference b/w good and bad. It's all so clear like in ur heart. Why a mother loves his child and who created these feelings. Why in the hours of extreme danger, you say save us God. Why man stops crying and why is there no one you can u trust no one in the world but Him. Feel him. The book he wrote The Holy Quran in it He challanges Hiself that can someone write even a small verse like he wrote but till now no one ever wrote. How came the prophet. How is this world filled with such varieties just think.4
And believe me when you bow to Him when u love Him and get lost in His love you need nothing else. It's the comfort like none other. U just have to feel it

I respect all this, and so I'll reply:
We aren't evolving because technology has for a greater part eliminated the necessity. And who created God? There are so many questions and factors that it's useless to even believe or disbelieve. When we try to use logic to argue in favour of a God, then we're undermining the very notion of "faith" as the deliverer of comfort in times of trouble. Faith cannot be logical - it's like trying to explain why one person falls in love with another. Explain it, and it loses its intrigue.
I'm not offering an opinion one way or the other, BUT even IF there were a divine being, I would be indifferent to Him - Devil or not. Things are as they are, and I am what I am. My heart and respect for the feelings of others tell me the difference between 'right' and 'wrong', and they come from the intellectual, not the celestial. I know this because one's brain can be physically altered so that one's perception and hence behaviour changes. Rather it's our feelings that raise us up.
As was mentioned, all this makes no difference to the suffering endured by good people. Clearly we do not create our own luck.
I haven't read the Quaran...a translated version would be imperfect anyway. I've looked at it..but..it's a matter of taste. My favourite epic poem is "Paradise Lost", and from it I decided the greatest comfort to one in need is the awareness of one's own existence and ability to help others. If alone and without purpose, then "all things that were born were born to die". It is sad, but we can only be gracious. From this realisation comes compassion and love.
All in all, even if there were a God, we are as much a creation of Him as the very clay we walk on. Non-humans need not worship, so neither should we. If we place ourselves as the image of the creator, then it becomes a matter of pride and place rather than absolute 'submission to the will of God'. If we assign ourselves as his servants, then we become machines, and religion results.
Sure, if everyone thought the same thing, then there would be peace. But thinking this could ever occur (not to mention everlastingly) is in itself an inhuman belief.
So my belief is that humans need to explore their own thoughts and feelings before striving for the sublime. Only then will we realise that it's all inside of us, just as you said. -
feeling imaginary love
Religion is a natural reaction to the indifference of the universe. if God exists then he doesn't care about you, me or anybody.
This is obvious for one reason. The reason is that horrible things happen to good people. Too many innocents suffer in this world whilst evil is rewarded every day. If God does exist then he is either powerless and impotent or he simply doesn't care.
If God created everything he gave people free will to cause immense suffering. Where is the good in that?
Most philosophers now agree. God is either evil or dead. That's all there is to say on the matter. -

You said yourself that evil get's reward while Good suffers then is it fair, no it doesn't seems so but you always see right path is difficult so is speaking truth. There comes the belief of Heaven and Hell! Every man has to get his rights so the evil get's in here and the good get's in the world here after. Evil is easy and what is easy is often not good. I don't know if I clear up my point but I respect ur opinion and religion whatever it is. My life has taught me that when I pray to God I feel relaxed and there comes a divine power in me, I never have to bow before anyone else. And by-the-way I wrote this thing in a hurry.
