Hiatira -- Prolouge

By the year of 2150, global warming had taken its toll on the world. The majority of the Arctic ice had melted, increasing the water levels around the world. In a desperate attempt to regain power, America - which had now separated into four different separate continents due to the flooding - raged war on the Middle East in a blame game. In the following year, not one country or remaining continent avoided the effects on the war, millions died in the years that followed.
By 2155, America, now regretting the attack; managed to conceive a weapon so powerful, it is quickly considered more dangerous and lethal than the atomic bomb used a two centuries before. The purpose of the new bomb was simple; to eliminate people on an immense scale, i.e., kill off the majority of a continent in one hit.
Unfortunately; the effects of the bomb were not trialled efficiently before they were released…
All countries were affected by the blast; including America. Millions of people died and there were more casualties than the war had produced. However for those who did stay remain and did avoid the main explosions, their behaviour and personalities changed.
As time passed, people were classified into five different “classes”, each with a distinct set of characteristics and also curiously, as an added effect from the blast, set abilities. Each class was generalised as follows: 1


:: Babarera - [Ba - Bare – Ra]
Natural leaders’ and superior in anything and everything they do. The most disliked class, even more so than the Derugan’s because of their forceful ways. The Babarera’s seek power out in the world, and are modern day politicians. 2

:: Derungan – [Da – Run – Gen]
A group of people turned dark and twisted and classed as un-trustworthy for their intentions suit their personality. Derungan’s are not ones to leave a fight, and not uncommon for them to pick ones randomly, for which they are considered modern day “thugs”. Only a few people have managed to get Derungan’s to open up to them, however they become very protective of those they do love. Derungan’s are also mostly found in the military, trained to become skilled hunters. 4

:: Fitana – [Fee – Tar – Na]
Quite like schizophrenics, the blast jumbled the minds of the class and resulted in them becoming crazy. Strong – but crazy. They often have two personalities, their eyes changing from one colour to another when their other “half” comes out. Often referred to the fortune tellers of the world for their random predictions.
The degree of the effect varies in each case, some almost fine, others purely insane. 7

:: Inlagess – [In – La – Guess]
Inlagess’ are very bubbly, cheerful and constantly happy, almost the direct opposite of the Derugans’. Inlagess’ prefer the light and socialisation, and are “new age hippies”.
HOWEVER.
When and if they become angry, an uncountable rage takes control which can last up to over a week and can have catastrophic results. 9

Unique in the way that it is only found in children under the age of fifteen, it is the most curious class. There is no set personality, nor skills, and all research has been in-conclusive. 12
