There weren’t no boys than girls, nor were there more girls than boys. They were both equal and happy the way they were. Sure they had their enemies and had their best friends, but this was the summer that no one would forget; if they could.24
“Come on, girls, were almost there!” Kristin cheered. Behind her were ten girls, through the ages of eleven and fourteen.25
“Boys, you can do it!” Luke shouted. Behind him were ten boys, through the ages of eleven and fourteen.26
By the time they reached the top of the hill, the girls feet were in pain and the boys were willing to go down and go back the way they came. All twenty of the kids got together and met up with one another. The two leaders took checked each campers name off.27

Some faces I knew, some I didn’t. I figured that I should’ve gotten to know them fast because we’d be here for the next eight weeks with each other.29
The campers that I knew were Julie, Meg, Grace, Lucy and Alice. I had five new ones named Ann, Shannon, Kylena, Nora and Kendra.30
I had to admit that Julie was my least favorite camper I’ve ever had. She’s too unruly and extremely vicious to the other girls. She has a boyfriend named Patrick who went here as well. According to Luke, Patrick and Julie are no different from each other. Romance is the only thing I hate about the summer, but this is the most awaited time for me.31
I hate to have favorites but I can’t help but have one. Her name is Lucy and she hasn’t had a boyfriend at the camp. I’m surprised she doesn’t, she’s very sweet and very pretty.32
I checked in all my campers and went on to show them their cabins.33

Another summer, another batch of unruly boys to take care of. What ever happened to the days where at sleepaway camp, boys would used to play pranks on the girls and play baseball for fun? Now they won’t even wake up when I tell them to.35
I reunited with a couple of campers I knew from the past years. Their names were Paul, Patrick, Charlie, Adam and Michael. Of course I have the new campers, Ben, Kyle, Jack, Anthony, and Jason.36
The worst camper I have this year, again, is Michael. I’m surprised that it’s never Patrick because Kristin always says that Julie and him are alike, but Michael is just one of those boys who never settles down. He’s not mean or snobby, he’s actually pretty nice. It’s just his way of life that drives me insane.37
Now my all time favorite is Paul. Sure, he joins in on the fun but he always shows respect to his leaders, otherwise known as me.38
I hate to say it but it’s good to be back. I might as well say: Welcome summer!39

You may want to make "There weren’t no boys than girls"
"There werent any more boys than girls" (it is more gramatically correct)
Could use soem minor changes, but good start
I will hopefully read more when you post it
