How can death be bad? It rids us of our hated ones, it saves us from the same fate. Tears tears fill the eyes of the close of the departed, but we must learn to expect this. Because as we should all know, with life comes death, and with death comes sorrow. To others happiness. You can't run from it, you can't hide, because it follows you like a starving dog.It over clouds us all, hidden among the beauty, waiting for its next victiom...1
Our life is a test, a test of survival. During our light hours, we prepare and supply for the night ahead. But in our dark time... we cling to our loved ones, huddled in a corner, far away from any windows or doors. We sacrifice our pets to avoid our no doubt inevitable fate... death. Most particulary a small village in the sub-terraienan area, Riven. They all follow the same routine trying to abort this great fear.2
One family lay west of the village border of Riven. The family consists of a lady, about thirty-four of age. Marya Rose, and her son who was three months old. Marya was very timid and feared all movement. But her son brought her serenity, as she stares at the boy, she feels comfort and pride as his infant face reflects her emerald green eyes as he toys with her long, silky pitch black hair. Her warm smile over comes all the shadow and lights up the mood. They were the suriviors of the family.3
A pregant Marya wached from her haven under the bed, as her husband gets devoured by the beast that they called Rannoch. Which is the name of a heartless demon.4
Marya recently gave birth to a baby boy which she named, Ameraqe, after the babys dead father.5
On the night of the first quarter Ameraqe and his mother hid in a dark corner trembling. Suddenly, Ameraqe bursted into tears with a shrill cry that echoed throughout the wood, as his mother started praying.6
Marya's pipils contracted as she relized, Rannoch has now been alerted. Ameraqe's mother hid under the bed, leaving Ameraqe in his crib shreiking. She closely watched her son, tears floeing down her cheeks.7
On time. A person walked stright through the wall, and glanced at the baby. The person had chalk white skin, and sharp fangs that could pearict the strongest of fleash. The creature had no eyes, insted there were white orbs. They were bottemless and showed no sign of life. The creature obviously could not see. it wound mearly sniff the night air, hopeing for the sweet scent of blood.8
Rannoch approched the baby. It lifyed it's scrawny hand. it's fingernails an inch long or more. They were yellow and brown colors. He owered his hand stright into Ameraqes eyes. using his index finger and his middle finger to where each finger got an eye. Rannoch slowely stabbed each nail into his pipils. Ameraqe screeched a horrible scream and started gurgling as Rannoch dug deeper.Ameraqe hacked up blood. Still the creature dug deeper in to his eye socket. Ameraqe had blood pouring out of his eyes, and nose but, mostly his mouth. 9
As blood poured out of all the pours on the babys body, Rannoch hooked his claws into the babys optical towards his mouth, and slowely started pulling his fingers, along with Ameraqe's eyes, out of the babys head. The mother buryed her face into her are, allowing her tears to soak her jacket.10
Rannoch's fingers emerged with two green eyes on it's tips. It opened it's mouth, reveling four eye teeth resembling thick, white sewing needles. All it's teeth were sharp, but those K-9 teeth were the puer essance of fear... It put Ameraqe'a eyes in its mouth, and slowly closed it forming a long gushing sound. Soon, optical-mucus ran down it's chin. Ameraqe had still not ceased cring. Rannoch quickly glanched at the child. The empty pits that were once Ameraqe's eyes streamed blood as did all the other passages to Ameraqes blood stream did.11
Rannoch sented the boy and smirked. It lifted the boy up by his cranium. it deeply inhaled the air vaugely close to Ameraqes neck. it quickly bit right under the boys chin. As Rannoch sunk it's teeth into the boy's throat, Ameraqe quieted, and became pale. Rannoch made a loud guzzling sound from which Marya herd.12
Rannoch continued to suck blood from the lifeless body until it was dry. After Rannoch finished, he stabbed his boney hand into the boy's chest and emerged grasping a small, shrivled heart. He devoured it in an instant. Then it ruthlessly threw the corpse under the bed, and disappeared. Marya looked at her son and fought back the next wave of tears. Feeling there be nothing better to do, she threw the boy outside and let him drench in the rain. She then returned to the corner and gently rocked back and forth embracing her legs, for warmth and comfort.13
She clenched her knees, shuddering at the constant sound of screams in the distance. She hid her face in her legs, trying to muffle her sobs.14
Suddenly, she heard Ameraqe screaming. She swiftly jolted up and bolted to her sons crid. It was empty. She looked at all of the corners of the ceiling. She clutched her head crying, "Am i going insane?" she called to herself. "MMMMMOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMYYYYYY..." called a toddlers voice from the window which the body lay. Marya slowely turned her head, sweating, and crying.15
From the window a pale, eyeless face stared at her. It smiled at her demonicly, revealing sharp rows of teeth resembling a shark. "MOMMY!" Ameraqe yelled in a deep dark voice that reverbarated around the wood like thunder, as the child suddenly appered in front of its mother. Teeth bared as a bolt of lightening flashed outside. Ameraqe snarled, then lunged at his mother, attacking her in a smooth wisk of shadow.16
She screamed and shrank to the floor covering her face and asking what the demon wants. "You shoulden't have left me mommy... You could have saved me and still have your little angel," Ameraqe giggled,"Now you get to feel what you could have prevented from happening to me." he snickerd as her son lingered in the door way grinning maniacially. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! she screamed as her final breath left her throat... 17
The air that night was dull and painful. The loss and insanity of Marya Rose was tragic, but the few people that attended her shameful funeral breifly prayed and kept there mournful expressions. It got no worse and no better, just the same grief the people have been showing for years now. The people set her body in the pitch black waters and watched the eyeless, pale, corpse float down the river, as the gapeing hole in her chest filled with water, and the corpse sank, hidden among fathomless depths along with withered skeletons, never to be seen again.....18
