I was standing on the shoreline1
As waves lapped over my feet2
Listening to the waves crash3
Against the rocks- a steady beat4
The ocean pushed a seashell5
Into the sand before my eyes6
I studied it more closely7
And I came to realize8
It was cut and jagged9
Where smooth edges used to be10
Yet the hot rays of the sun11
Could still make it glow and gleam12
I looked into the water13
As it reached to me so near14
I held the seashell to my face15
And suddenly it became clear16
I was like the seashell17
As one could see by our reflections18
We’re both unique and beautiful19
Despite our little imperfections

I say bravo I love the way this is written. The moral of the story and it flows, the imagery in it. Great job. Thanks for sharing this with us and thanks for entering it into my contest.
