Summer Camp: Chapter 2

When they finally got there, Tyler got out of the car with his father, and walked to the main cabin. Inside were two conselors blabbing about what kind of activities they should do. Then, the pretty one (girl) turned around. "I'm sorry," she said, looking at them. "Anything I can do.... to well... help?" 1

Tyler was going to say 'Kiss Me', but since his dad was around, it wasn't a good idea. This girl had beautiful blond hair that was pulled up into a ponytail, and her name tag said 'Kristan' on it. "Yes, my son is new here, and I need to pay for him," his father explained.2

Unfortunately, Tyler's smile faded quickly when the man said, "Yeah, I'm the boys' counselor. Follow me to their cabin, sir." The three walked on the dirt trail until they got to a cabin right above the lake. When they opened the door, several boys were jumping on the beds.3

"You four get down from there!" the man yelled madly. "Or I'll make you scrub the floors all week!" They all suddenly got down, and one boy winked at Tyler. 4

The counselor showed him his bunk, and after his father helped him unpack, he left. "See you son!" his father told him, hugging him. "Try to have fun, okay?"5

"Yeah, I guess I'll try."6

"That's my boy," his father said, tosseling his son's blond hair. "See you next Saturday!"7

After his father left, he got to talk to the boy that winked. "I started that," the kid said with pride. "I love to make the counselors mad."8

Tyler nodded happily. "You and me might have some fun pranks to pull around here," Tyler said happily. "I like you already."9

"Don't mention it," he said. "All the guys around here are nice, except for Steve."10

"Who's Steve?" asked Tyler, curiously.11

"The biggest bully in all camp," the kid informed. "Luckily, he's not in our cabin, but he's still around. Tall kid with black, spiky hair. You'll see him when kids are running for their life away from him."12

Just when Tyler was about to say something, the counselor introduced himself. "Hey, boys," he introduced. "I'm Jeff, and I like camp. But there has to be rules to keep us safe, and happy. Rule number one: Treat others with respect. I will not put up with any bullying around here. Rule number two: You must be back in this cabin by dark, unless we have a bonfire. We only have two bonfires, so we don't have to worry about that. Rule number three: NEVER go anywhere without a counselor knowing. That's a huge one, 'cause I see kids breaking that one all the time. DON"T let me see you doing that, or you'll be punished in some way. Rule number four: Have fun and stay safe. Time for lunch!" he read off a clipboard fast.13

Is it still good?

  • I actually like it and thik you should continue a chapter 3. i read chapter one and I had a few laughs, now, this part seems pretty interesting and idk, it seems like either A, Tyler is going to get ins ome serious trouble from a really big prank, and something serious will happen, or B, he'll get into it with the bull kid, and C, I feel like I just spoiled the suspense for chapter 3 (LOL)

Definently continue it; I wanna see what happens next.

  • "Then, the pretty one (girl) turned around"

That's the only awkward part that I saw. You could just say "pretty girl" or something like that. But otherwise, nice story =]
