Whispered Love

Leo spoke in his cool calming voice "you speak like an angel. How can this be you hide yourself from me everyone else you are fine. You try to put on a show and try to pretend your someone strong. Why, why don't you just be yourself be the side you show them with me." Leah stared at him unable to speak. She knew the answer but he wouldn't understand. 1

"If I were me with you then it would just complicate the situation now come on. Get off of it will you." Leo glared at her. "I just want to be with you I didn't want you to know my past. With you I'm someone that I haven't been in a long time. Don't make me regret it." Then she caught it the tear in his eye glistining against the sun. He turned around and started walking away. Leah grabbed his wrist. "Please Leo stay."2

"Why should I stay you don't care about me. You say you love me, then plot my death the next second make up your mind. When you do Leah when you figure out what you really want in life then you let me know.It's either me or these people." " She tried to stay standing but failed. Her breathing became uneasy. She fell to her knees the tears streaming down her face. How could he do this to me, he loved me, she thought to herself. Leo stood 10 feet away making sure she would be okay. He tried to stay out of her eyesight though. 3

Leah stretched her arms above her head trying to wake up. She looked over to her side where Leo lay. She rolled over closer to him resting one arm on his chest and the other arm propped her up. She stared down at his face then looked toward the clock, 9:00 a.m. She leaned down kissing his lips gently. He wrapped his arm around her neck drawing her in closer. They lay there for 5 minuetes neither one wanting to get up. "Leo no matter how much I'de love to stay in bed all day, I can't, we can't. We have finals in school now lets go."5

Both her and Leo attended Harvard Medical School. He was a junior studying to become a Nurologist. Leah was a Freshman studying to become a Pediactrics Nurse. They had met a year and a half ago when he had been checking out the local hospitals and she had been in the recovery room. 6

She was recovering from a major car crash in which she was put into acoma the doctors had said she would never come out of. The day that he visited the hospital was two days after she had woken up. At that time he made her a project trying to figure out the statistics and how something as serious as her injuries were, how she had woken up. While studying up on her he came into her room daily. He would always bring one flower. As she began to gain more of her mobility and speech back. He would take her for walks and talk to her. By the time she had been released there were 152 flowers just from him. 7

Leo moaned and leaned in for another kiss. She turned away, "not till your up, you are so lazy." He laughed and stood up. He went to the closet to pick out his clothes. The usual for him, jeans, t-shirt, and shoes. She walked over to him grabbing a belt and putting it on for him. "Only I see what's down there." She laughed and walked to the bathroom to take her shower and dress. It took 30 minuets and they finally headed out the door.8

Leo pulled up in his blue volvo, walked around to the side to help Leah out, then ran to class. He took his seat in the back of the class with his friends. Leah went to her class taking her seat in the front. Her 3 friends came and sat by her and they began talking. Time passed quickly in the classes.9

The teacher dismissed Leahs class early. "Finally the weekend you have any plans Casey." Casey glanced toward her, "yeah my fathers coming. Nevermind hes here." She ran off. Beth and Eva were already gone too. Leah looked at Orion, "so you have any plans." He shook his head sadly. "Well we could hang out theres the new movie. Gingers Death." Orian stared at her perking up instantly, "I'de love to. Is it a date then, or you still with that guy." Leah laughed a bit then looked behind her as Leo came up. "It's not a date date it's just hanging out as friends. And his name is Leo." He looked at them confused then kissed her cheek. Orion looked away, "well I'll see you tonight then, you can text me the time you want to go." She nodded and Orion ran off. Leo walked with her to the car. "Am I coming too." Leah nodded her head and got into the pasengers seat.10

Leo looked at Orion as they cam out of the movie. He looked sad which was hard to believe when they had just seen a terrifingly funny movie. Leah looked at Leo then to Orion, "do you need a lift home." Orion flinched, then shook his head. Leo got into his car while Leah finished talking to Orion. Orion leaned in to kiss Leah, but she moved back. Leo froze up and darted his eyes to Orion. Orion bowed his head and ran off. Leah stepped into the car. 12

"You don't have to worry I can take care of myself." Leo looked at her and nodded. "I know but I do. You mean the World to me and if I lost you I don't know what I'de do." She smiled when suddenly gunshots were heard through the parking lot. She looked back and saw Orion laying flat with blood around him. Leah ran over to the car to help him. 13

Leo ran out trying to get her back to the car, bang, bang, bang. Leo froze as Leah fell to the ground. Leo stood there trying to gain strength. He picked up Leah in his arms and laid her in the back of the car. He was about to pull out and head to the hospital when he was stopped by a white van.14

"Give us the girl and you won't be killed tonight." The person spoke in a cold cruel, sqeaky voice. Another person stepped out of the van. The person held a remote in their hand. The person with the remote wore a white suite and white hat. It looked as if their outfit were burnt too. The other person wore white too but he had a face mask on. Leo looked at it, "what is that for." The one in the mask spoke, "if you disobey we blow up your car. It's already rigged and all he has to do is puch the button." The masked one walked over and picked up Leah. They threw her to the back of the van and took off. Leo followed trying to stay far behind so they wouldn't catch on. 15

The people pulled up to an old abondoned lab. Leo stared blankly as the people stepped out of the car. They opened the back and Leah stepped out she looked unscathed which Leo was glad for. The masked one spoke first "so now that we have you back here Leah let's go through your tasks. One of which has to deal with the man Leo you were with." 16

Leah starred blankely she looked back through the trees, noticing his car parked 15 feet away. She guessed they must not have know. "What do you want done with Leo then. And what is it that you want me for. I thought we agreed that I pay the million dollars it took to save my life and I stay eternally gratefull, and then you stay away from me for the rest of my life." 17

The masked one looked at her taking off the mask. The masked one was a girl, "the name is Abby. I work for Coleton your fathers attorney general. Coleton also works for the government officials. Even though he wants to keep his promise with your father and not drag you into anymore of these issues we need your help. There has been some technical dificulties with one of our projects and I think you are the only one who can stop it."18

Leah starred off she was used to this, she had been for the past year since her crash. "How does Leo play into this though I don't understand." 19

Abby looked at her, "well we can't have a boyfriend getting in the way of our progress so therefore we need you to kill him or get him to want to stay away." 20

Leah nodded. By now Leo had made his way to a tree a foot away. No one had caught him and for this he was glad, he had heard all that was said. He didn't want to caus her anymore issues he knew what to do.21

Leah stepped into the forest Leo following. Leah went to speak, "We need to discuss something. It's about...."22
