Innocence lost.

The blood dripped from the child's ice cream cone into the sewer.

Author notes

Explanation; my view on humanity is it has lost it's innocence and thus a human who appears childlike but is not, watches without action as blood (our souls) falls from the ice cream (a vessel of hope) into the depths never to be seen again (the sewer).

    Kind of harsh, kind of blunt, but it penetrated my very core because it is so true. The world seems to be changing for the worst....

    Very intense definition of what in yhour eyes humanity has become. There is sadness in the truth as well I believe, a great sadness because hope is something that can sustain humanity and when it is lost then we are left with darkness and despair.
