Jetsetter Chapter Two

Mr. Edgewise was always dressed something suede and Italian; he was fond of the art of sewing as well. "Ms. Beryliet has informed me of your big project in designing an outfit." He continued, "So I've decided to let you all devote my class time to your work time, now get moving!" People started right away.1

Before Apple could pick up a pencil her, two other friends came rushing over. Jenna Murphy and Katherine Simons were both Apple's best friends. Jenna spoke first, "Hey hey Ap!" Katherine continued in a whisper, "Clairedy Cat and her clan asked us to what would be better to pair what with." 2

"So what did you tell her?" asked Apple with a glare.3

"Well Ms. Positive over here gave her her opinion." Katherine and Apple both study Jenna. Jenna had always had a very bubbly personality. 4

"Yeah, but I told her to pair penny loafers with it." Jenna replied in an obvious giggle. That was another thing about Jenna. She might have been over-upbeat but she wasn’t stupid. Adair leaned in to hear more and giggled as well.5

"You girls don't need to be talking to Ms.-" he stopped.6

"Limbaugh?" Apple said with a rasied left eye brow.7

"Yes Ms. Limbaugh, if you have any questions you are to ask me." Mr. Edgewise stuck his nose back in his newspaper. 8

Apple then pulled out her sketch- pad and started writing down ideas – she had no choice; she couldn't procrastinate now. It has always been Apple's dream to travel the world and meet famous designers. To Apple it wasn't the sights that stunned her the most – it was the clothing lines, the beauty products, and accessories! She had already come up with a few ideas. She decided to do something like an Amanda Wakeley 2009 spring original. 9

Apple created a hot remake of the simple black dress with a sleek black skinny belt that cinched the waist. Ripples towards the bottom of the dress; flaring just enough not hug the hips. The dress would be just above the knees. The top would droop elegantly enough so there was enough skin shown at the neckline. Pearls would pair well next to the wide straps covering the four finger-lengths of the shoulders. A pair of black bold Italian heels by Alda Fabiano would give the model a glow to her legs.10

Done.11

Apple had her look. All she needed to do now was buy the fabric and get straight to work when she got home. 12

"Hey, Orange, do you think that penny loafers would go better then strappy Donatella's?" Claire – the fashion don't-even-think-about-it - asked Apple flashing her design. Other girls wondered how in the world Claire Gaaro even got into fashion school; it was a wonder she could tell her Gucci from her Pucci.13

Apple replied to her with a smirk, "Kuh-laire, do you honestly think that it will make a difference what you pair that last season knock off with?" Claire gave Apple a pissed-off frown and turned briskly on her lemon wedged heals. 14

The best of the day was all dedicated to the competition, each class was just more time to create the design. To Apple it was just time to day dream about that hang-ten hottie that she was a shoe-in to meet. 15
