Lovely day, isn't it?1
Yeah. You said we needed to talk?2
Yes, Laila... You are the best thing that has happened to me. I want us to be together always. Will you marry me?3
What? Just like that? No flowers, no music, and look at that ring! It could fit a frog's leg and I'd need a microscope to see the stone!4
Well... I... err... It is still a diamond! Don't be mean... just this once...5
Just this once? What's that supposed to mean?6
Well, you're always critical of what I do. It isn't my fault if your fingers are.. ummm.. delicately structured.7
Are you saying I have bony fingers?? And you say I'm the critical one! I think you should lose some weight.. in your head!!!!8
Come to think of it, my head is feeling a bit heavy. The doctor warned me to avoid shrill noise. 9
So I'm shrill too, eh? 10
Oh don't misunderstand me, dear. You do have a lovely voice; weren't you a soprano in college? 11
Yeah, but no comparison to your bass in bed!12
Are you implying that I snore?13
No sweetheart, I don't imply... That's for cowards who need euphemisms for bony fingers! 14
Hey! I'm no coward, lady! If I were, I wouldn't have wanted to marry you! Especially now that my suicidal phase is far behind me!15
That is unfortunate... I will have to put up with you for a long time, I guess!16
Are you saying "yes"????17
YES!! 18

Hehe.
Very amusing. I was grinning the whole time. Excellently written and thanks for entering.
Lord help their marriage.

Oh Yes!
I like this!
I am now wondering what their marriage will be like.
This is a great conversation involving a couple who, despite their characteristics, are probably deeply in love with each other. They're not yet married but are already at year #7 if this conversation is anything to go by.
A good write with a tinge of dry humour lurking in the background.

This was very witty.
and I rather enjoyed it. This kind of playful banter without crossing the line into outright insult territory can be a lot of fun and I like how you kept it that way with just the right amount of bite. This was both funny and touching at the same time in that it has fun poking fun at idiosyncrasies(which we all have) and yet still the love shines through in a way that overcomes all that. Love that can withstand a friendly blasting is love indeed. This was great.
