Ra'Lin (part four)

Sitting in the lair with her clan of dragons, Ra'Lin was getting restless. She needed to leave for a few days to hunt for something, not sure what it was, just knowing she had to go hunting.1

Heading out she took her sword the one Riftkin gave her, and headed to the woods. Knowing the area like the back of her hand, she was a little surprise to see a small cottage where it should not be.2

She went and knocked on the door, a handsome man answered it and smiled. He asked her to enter, she said no, and told him she was wondering where, the cottage came from. When he said he wanted to know whom wanted to know, she said that the land belonged to her clan, never telling him the clan was all dragons.3

He said that he was sorry, but he heard that the land belonged to a Queen, a Queen of Dragons, and he wanted to meet her. Ra'lin was no fool, and so did not tell him that she was that Queen. She only asked what he would want with a Queen of the Dragons. This man said he had a deal to make with her that would benefit both of them and the Dragons too.4

He went on to say that a band of wolves were moving in the area and that he wanted to be sure that the Queen knew this. For these were not normal wolves, these were ones that fed on Dragons.5

Ra'Lin listened and did not give a thing away just as Riftkin taught her. She said she would let the Queen know. Left the cottage and continued on her way, she did not forget what the man said, but more importantly she remembered what he had not said.6

He did not tell her how the cottage had been built so fast, that she still smelled the scent of magic in play. Forgetting her hunting, she raced back to the lair, sending a message to be on the look out for wolves... werewolves.7

With the clan warned, she went back to the cottage, the man was there getting ready to lead, the group against the clan, till he saw her eyes and then his blood ran cold. For there was death in her eyes, but not her death. 8

Ra'Lin, took that blade and killed him and his followers and she called her clan and they took out the rest. The clan was once more saved by their one and only human Queen, Ra'Lin.9
