The Lie and The Soul

“You sold my soul!” Leigh Anna screamed at the top of her lungs. As she began to pace the large living room of her large childhood mansion.1

“You must relax, honey.” Her father spoke in a soft tone as if this was nothing. White hair fell down to his shoulders as his dark eyes sparkled with devious.2

“You lied to me for twenty years.” Leigh Anna stopped pacing and plopped down on the red couch. Most of their furniture in their home was red.3

“Well soon to be twenty one.” Her mother now spoke with a sweet voice that would bring any man to his knees. Her flawless skin and perfect features didn’t hurt either.4

In a mere have five minutes Leigh Anna would know the truth of her whole existences and in the next seven minutes she would be come what she was destined to become.5

“When that clock strikes midnight, you child will be something great.” Her mother tried to plead with her. Trying to make her understand.6

“Why didn’t you tell me the truth?” Her voice was barely a whisper.7

“Every time something weird happened in my life I couldn’t explain happened, I asked you if it was because of me, if there was something different about me.” Leigh Anna knew there was countless times where she had done something wrong that was no way normal. “Every time you said no.”8

Her father sat down slowly next Leigh Anna, his black jeans seemed dark against the bright red.9

Again Leigh Anna noted that they had worn black cloths most of the time but never understood why.10

“To those worthless humans, yes you were different but to us, you’re the same.” Her father places a cold hand upon her shoulder. For a second comfort fills her but quickly is taken away by the ticking grandfather clock in the corner.11

“What the fuck happens at midnight?” She growled, with an almost animal like growl. All her parents did was smile at the sound.12

Her mother bent down in front of her, forcing Leigh Anna to stare into her own dark eyes. “Your birthday, my dear.”13

Leigh Anna pushed away and jumped up. “Quit with the pet names.” They had no right, she thought.14

“As you wish.” They both said as they stood up, once again.15

“How the hell could you sell my soul? Your own daughter?” The sounds of tears were upon her lips but she refused to let them escape. “Honey…” Her mother moved a stepped forward but16

With a death stare stepped back once again. “…Atazoth, we’re not your real parents.”17

“We are the ones that raised you, yes but you don’t come from us.” Her non-father finished18

“Then who are my real parents and why did you just call me Atazoth?” The last part confused her further. Why would the call her by that name. 19

“That is birth name.” The woman with the tempting voice said.20

“Leigh Ann is your earth bound name.” The man with white hair explained.21

“You even lied to me about my name?!” Leigh Anna ran her slender fingers through her thick black long hair. This was getting to be too much. “What does it mean?” The name didn’t sound human and probably wasn’t.22

“The most powerful of the Dark Gods in the pantheon of the Order of the Nine Angles.” The man spoke with pride. “The name itself signifies in one sense the purpose of the cosmic cycies and the opening of the Gates since 'Atazoth' as a word means 'an increasing of azoth.” Now Atazoth walked to the balcony windows.23

She pressed her head to the glass. Enjoying the ice cold feeling against her burning skin. “Who are my parents?” She shut her eyes.24

She couldn’t take anymore but she had to. Midnight was only three minutes away. She needed to know what was to come.25

“Lucifer and a jackal.” He spoke once again. “Jackal? As in a pumpkin?” Pushed off the window in confusion but did not turn to face them.26

“No, jackal as in a person that is a follower of another. Your mother was a follower of Satan.” He continued. “The birth of you was too much for a mere human.”27

And yet another thought played through Atazoth’s mind. “Who the fuck are you two?” She spun quickly around to face them with burning blue eyes. “Don’t dare say, Jacob and Sara or my fucking caretakers or any of that shit.”28

“Just the straight out truth.” Her voice a plea.29

The man leant down on one knee and bowed his head, allowing his silky white hair to fall over his face. “I am, Berith. A great Duke of Hell, powerful and terrible, and has twenty-six legions of demons under my command.” She shifted her eyes to the woman.30

She followed graceful and bowed her head. “I am, Gressil. The demon of impurity and uncleanliness.”31

She ran her fingers once again through her now extremely messy hair. “Alright…Berith…Gressil…just one more thing.”32

The two looked up at her with deviance swirling in her eyes. “You guys lied to me for twenty one years! What the hell?”33

Their eyes lowered to the ground in shame and honor. “We’re sorry but we could not deny our master and what he request of us.” Berith began to explain. “We had to protect the offspring of our Lord until you were to come of age.”34

Gressil dared to look back into the fiery eyes of Atazoth. “Help train you, silently, to have control and be ready for what is to come.” She dropped her eyes quickly in fear.35

They feared her. She did not know why until she remember who her father was.36

A devious smirk bleed on to her face. “If I’m the offspring of your master does that make me higher on the rank then you guys?” She punctuated the sentence with a scoff.37

“Yes, it does my child.” A deep voice spoke from the darkest shadow of the room. Making Atazoth almost leap from her skin.38

He stepped into view. He was tall, black hair and pure black eyes. No white at all.39

He skin was flawless. He wore a black suit, with a black shirt and a red tie.40

Even though he smelled of death and fear and everything about him told you to run away, Atazoth was not scared.41

“Come here my Atazoth; let me get a good look at you.” She moved cautiously towards the man.42

He dropped his hands upon her shoulders, holding her still. “Hair has dark as night, with eyes blue as ice.” He chuckled as if he found her appearance to be amusing.43

He brushed a strand of hair from her face. Causing a feel of pure ice to pass through her blood. “I know, child that you are unhappy that these lower demons have lied to but it was for your own good.” The two did not move.44

They could not move unless, asked by their lord.45

“So what kind of things I can I do?” The question brought a smile like no other to the perfect man.46

“Your gifts are endless, Atazoth.” Her filled with confusion. “Fabrication, levitation, possession, ESP, telepathy, and curses, as well as binding, controlling the classical elements, animal control, and provocation.”47

Just then the grandfather struck that twelve. Ending everything.48

Atazoth shut her eyes as she felt a sudden rush of pure energy, strength and power. She liked the feeling, even if it was a dark feeling, she enjoyed it.49

“And that’s only the beginning.” The man whispered.50

She reopened her eyes. “Such beautiful eyes.” He laughed. Her eyes were no like his. Pure black, not a soul to be seen within them.51

“Can I?” She titled her head slightly. “Do as you please, my child.” Only the two knew exactly what thoughts played in her new other world mind. “This world is yours to spread your chaos.” He spoke truthfully.52

Atazoth turned around to the two leaning demons. Pure hatred and angry filled her. Not focusing every hard Atazoth caused the two demons to burst into horrid flames.53

Their screams brought a dark smile to her face. All of sudden she enjoyed the smell of singed flesh.54

“I don’t like being lied.” She said as she felt the man’s hand upon her shoulder.55

She blinked making her eyes turn back to their cold blue. “I know my child.”56

As father and daughter the two walked back into the shadows to end the end the lives of the human and fulfill a prophecy that was said 6,000 years in the passed.
