The Deranged: Pt 1 Ch 8

Potter inched into a comfortable position before getting to her feet. She looked Lex dead in the eye before talking. All the times she’d cried to him about how she felt, and all the times he told her bullshit. “So this is it?”1

He didn’t answer her.2

“I guess I should have known. I’m nothing to you now, huh.” Potter twiddled her thumbs. Just say it! Tell him what an ass he is this will be your only chance. Say it! Potter subconscious roared, but she could only sigh as she looked wistfully at his door. It had been the first time they made out and he had pinned her to his bedroom door. Potter couldn’t remember a time when she had felt more free. But now as she stared at it, sure that she never again would, Sorrow filled her throat. Then heavy steps made their way up behind the door. Potter gave Lex an apologetic look and back away closer to the window. Shit! His parents!3

“Lex, I’ve been waiting over an hour how long does it take--—who’s this?” 4

A petite blonde stood in the door way, shaking her hair she sized Potter up. Lex paused, looking between both girls. His eyes grew and he silently motioned to Potter and shook his head. The blonde obviously had been there for a while, and by the look of her in Lex’s shirt many times. Potter didn’t know whether to be furious or relieved, maybe a little bit of both. Now she had no problem telling Lex off for how he’d treated her. But instead she marched over to his window muttering swears under her breath. Lex stopped her by grabbing Potter’s wrist. But he turned to the girl and addressed her instead.5

“Go down stairs Natasha.”6

“Wait, You can’t just…”7

“Natasha!”8

“Answer me!”9

“Go down stairs...and I promise you won’t be sorry.” Lex gave her a sly seductive smile. Both their eyes glittered as they shared a swift connection.10

“What about her?”11

“She’s none of your concern. When I’m done. You’ll know.”12

The sultry blonde closed the door and her footsteps receded.13

Potter bit her lip and looked down her shirt. Her chest was the only thing that she felt she could concentrate on without losing it. She bit so hard on her lip that the sweet, metallic taste of her own blood flooded into her mouth. Potter swallowed hard and kept her mouth closed. She had felt so guilty! She had wanted to get on her hands and knees to beg forgiveness…and this! How dare he just stand there!14

Potter raised her eyes slowly. It was common knowledge that men were the least aware species known to the modern world, but surely Lex didn’t think Potter could ignore the blonde that had left their midst? Potter eased herself up into a sitting position on the wall. Lex held her murderous gaze, but his face twitched and opened as if to mutter word of assurance to himself. Potter took three steps forward. The backs of her tennies rose from the hard wood floors in her boyfriend’s room in a slow agonizing pace. When the arches of her feet were 45 degrees to the floor, Potter’s lips were parallel to his and for a brief moment she paused. At first gossamer, the kiss deepened into a sensuous good bye. When she broke, a noticeable pull and grip resonated from the boy’s body. A low gurgle rippled from his throat as he attempted to pull her back in. Potter pushed herself away firmly and made her way back to the window. 15

“It’s too late now.” 16

Potter turned back around puzzled.17

“What’s too late?” To gain forgiveness? Been there, don’t want it!18

“To hide. You can never escape.”19

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Just stay out of my life.”20

“You will. Soon, and you’ll regret every bit of it.” 21

Potter chewed her internal cheek to prevent her jaw from dropping. How is it she never realized what an ass Lex was...is!22

“Fuck off, Lex.” 23

He sneered and nodded toward his door. “Oh, I plan to.”24

Potter still proceeded to hop onto the roof in front of his window.25

If I live to be one hundred I’ll never forgive him.26

Elias peered into the deep abyss of the sibil. His body convused as he tried once again to find her. And again he failed. The male slammed his fist in to the deep pool, breaking its contaner completely. 28

Startled feet tapped around as their masters tried to avoid the shards. Elias rounded. "Pick them up!"29

His servants immediately scurried to meet his demands, but it made him no happier. All his efforts had failed so far and he needed rest.30

A cloaked subordinate walked up to the throne and knelt silently. "M'lord we have found them."31

Elias exhaled slowly. "Where?"32

The cloaked figure stood up and pulled down his hood revealing teal locks. "In one of the more healthy grids. They have the information you seek."33

"Are you sure they will comply? Is it really that easy?"34

"On my life, sire. They have always been loyal. Don't stress yourself. Your servant shall take care of it all."35

Elias nodded and collapsed onto his throne.36

The figure turned to leave.37

"One more thing, my son. Anyone you find who doesn't cooperate kill them, bring her straight to me though.....alive."38

"Yes, father."
