She was born into a small village the day the dragons burned it down. Her mother died in birth, father and brothers all burned. She was the only one that lived that lonely summer day.1
A band of thieves came by, to steal what they could. One of them was a girl, they called her Riftkin. She heard the babe and followed the cry, the others said to kill it.2
Riftkin's eyes dared them to try, and none stepped forward to do the deed. Riftkin, though she was young, was the cunniest of them all. Looking at the little girl, naming her Ra'Lin, dragon slayer.3
Riftkin raised Ra'lin, and when the day came Ra'Lin left. She went back to the village the one she was born. To search for a clue
to who she really was.4
The temperature was rising, it was another dragon day. To hot to breath, not a breeze to be felt. Then she saw the one in the air,
flying around looking for something.5
The sword that Riftkin had given her, she took it out just as the dragon saw her. Flying down to lay near, she raises the sword to the ready. Dragon sees itself in the sword, a thought reaches her mind.6
'You are the one that survived that day, the babe that touched my heart. I have come back here every year at this time searching for you.' The dragon told Ra'Lin, in a motherly kind of way.7
'Will you accept, being a member, of the Dragon's Clan, dear Ra'Lin?' A smile touch Ra'Lin's lips, for Riftkin never knew where the name came from. She agreed to live with the Dragon's, not as their slayer, but as their Queen.8

This is really good Riftkin. I would like to see where this story goes and I do not care if they flow. If you are into reading you should be able to get the jest of it. Great job, can't wait to read what comes next.
