I Walk Alone1
Love carves its path down my cheek, rests lazily on my jaw, and then plummets toward the unforgiving ground. Insanity threatens to overthrow rational thought. I focus on the grass: brown, parched, dying. I stumble and fall to my knees. Summoning strength from the inner recesses of my being, I stand. I look to my left then my right. Graves of the dead surround me. I walk toward love. I walk toward her. I walk alone.2

This is a very interesting write you have going here. I wonder tho why this character was at a grave yard and why they were walking alone towards love. Why wasn't there love with them all along? You have left much to be answered in this short story.... now I await a longer story telling me more. Thanks for sharing this.
