"This is your last chance, boy. Do it or I will send our finest assassin after your traitorous ass."9

"...Ruari, sir? Why so...strong?"10

"Don't play dumb. You might look innocent and weak but you are light on your feet. Second best to Ruari."11

"Sir... surely you don't expect me to--"12

"Tetsuyu! This conversation has drug on long enough! You have your assignment, and it is very important! Unfortunately, you are the only able Eukarian assassin in that area at the moment. Now kill him; his 'lover' ,too, if necessary. Get to it." 13

Chapter 117

I watched Minoru and Keito cuddle in the spot next to me in the back of the taxi we were in. They didn't seem to mind me watching, even as they got a bit more passionate. I frowned and turned to look out into the night through the window. Minoru noticed and he said, "Tetsuyu, what's the matter? Should we calm down?" Keito winked at me through his deep red locks as I turned my head back slightly.18

"No, I'm fine," I assured them.19

Keito touched my shoulder lightly and he said slyly, "We could have a threesome."20

I smiled and my smaller fangs paled in comparison to the long sharp ones of the two vampires next to me. Minoru reached over and grabbed me. He lifted me between himself and Keito and my wing-like ears flicked as they sandwiched me. I stuttered, "I-In a taxi?" Minoru ran his finger over the top of one of my normal, fleshy ears. Keito nosed my cheek playfully and he laughed, saying, "It's nothing new. People do it all the time. Taxi drivers are used to it." I shifted my weight because I might be stuck in the middle the whole time. (Yeah, I did want a threesome! Why not?)21

However, I felt a metal point jam into my hip. I almost cried out, but then I remembered my...mission. What pain just hit me was just a fraction of what my target would feel to his neck or chest or...or...ugh...dammit... 22

I couldn't do this threesome now. I wasn't in the mood anymore. I pointed out the window randomly to a black-bricked building.23

"Uhm, there's the hotel, guys!"24

Keito dove across our laps and looked out the window squealing like a retard, "Ooh, where?!" I slid over to make my dagger slide out of my leg. I felt warmness creep down my entire leg into my shoe. Great- now I'm bleeding.25

Minoru looked out the window, too.26

"Wow. It looks fine. Why'd they just now close it up?"27

Keito sat up and looked at me while he spoke more composed than a few seconds ago.28

"Oh, yeah, it just opened about a month ago. What happened?" 29

I glanced to the hotel. It was new, but it looked old and haunted. I forced a smile to them and hoped they wouldn't smell my blood.30

"They simply opened it at a bad time. Another HUGE hotel opened a little closer to the tourist attractions and only about twenty people checked in here. Their pay wasn't enough to sustain the bills and stuff, so they had to close it until they got enough money. There's still food and the electricity's going to be on for the rest of the week.. The manager said he'd appreciate the money I was giving him for us to stay in alone."31

Keito smiled and asked, "How much was it?"32

I thought for a sec then lied, "Only about a thousand." Actually it was more like a hundred thousand, but I'll keep that to myself. Eukarian money transfers into a lot of their currency. I was basically rich. Here at least.33

The taxi driver drove off with a hundred dollar bill (I told him to keep the change for the way we were fornicating in the back) as we entered the two glass double doors. Keito spun around and 'ooh-ed'. The interior was beautiful, what with the gold and green marble decor, but the blood slowly oozing out of my hip wouldn't let me be in awe. It was a constant reminder of exactly why I was here.34

Minoru stretched his arms out and tossed his head back. He unknowingly made my mood worse by saying, "I'm glad I can actually go somewhere and relax...and be with my friends, of course." I smiled falsely and said slowly, "Oh, yeah. You're the Vampire God's Shadow. That's right... I had forgotten... Are you sure staying away this long is ok?" He shrugged and replied coolly, "Nothing's happening right now. They're just planning to overthrow some other place to expand our rule, as usual. I've already contributed my oh-so-important ideas, so I'm free to relax for now."35

I nodded and waited until Minoru and Keito wandered off to find their room they wanted to stay in. I turned the other way to meander around the first floor alone and gather my thoughts.36

*Their nation must not be aware of the long going experiments of fusing animal blood and DNA in the Eukarians- like me. If they knew of that then his boss wouldn't let him be here. They must think I'm from some other nation or planet not worth checking.*37

I stopped in front of the baggage counter and sighed. I might have to actually kill Minoru... just the thought of it... His sticky, hot blood running down my hand and my arm and to my elbow...38

I probably would've started to cry if something hadn't caught my eye on the counter. It was a dagger similar to mine. I rushed over and it was stabbed through a piece of paper into the counter. I took out the blade and picked up the paper. It was a note addressed to me.39

Tetsu-kun,40

I wasn't supposed to tell you that I'm here. However, it wouldn't be much fun if you weren't looking over your shoulder every two seconds. Paranoia is one of our greatest weaknesses, wouldn't you agree?41

My eyes widened. Ruari was here?! He was probably watching me now- sent here to make sure I would kill Minoru. I glanced around quickly; probably looking like a spaz. It wasn't unusual for Ruari to mess with people's minds. I shoved the paper into my pocket. What's with that 'Tetsu-kun'? And why would he tell me that he's here when he's not supposed to? Just to see me all flustered because I can't see him, but he could see me? 43

...He was right: paranoia was a big weakness. He probably would love to see me cower before him. He was so fuckng sadistic. I turned my head slightly and said aloud, "Ruari, you're twisted..." I was a little scared of him. He could jump down and have me pinned with a knife or something to my throat before a single heartbeat could pass. Don't get me wrong, I'm quick...but he's better.44

*What am I worried about? He won't attack me if I do my job.*45

I began walking back.46

*But for some reason I feel as if he's not gonna attack me in that sense...*47

Ruari's told me once that he loved me, that he wanted me, but he then laughed, so I'd assumed it was a joke. I hoped so- Ruari's dangerous. Even in romance.48

I lifted the side of my shirt to put Ruari's dagger with mine, but as I raised the shirt I saw my blood smeared all over my hip and sides. It was soaking into my pants and boxers. I gasped and wondered how the hell I hadn't been feeling this. I dashed off to a bathroom.49

In the bathroom near the hall where Minoru and Keito went I had my pants down and my boxers pulled down on one side. The stab was deep- this would bleed forever. If I wasn't part cloud-digger I might've been dizzy.50

I dabbed at the hole with a wet paper towel. I ran the same one down the blood trail on my leg. This wasn't going to work.. I was just going to bleed over the same spot and I didn't bring any bandages.51

"Need a band-aid, Tetsu-kun?"52

Shit- I knew that voice! I spun around and saw Ruari standing with his arms crossed by the bathroom door. I scrambled to pull up my pants, but the next time I blinked I was on the tile floor and my arms were out with Ruari holding them down. Me on my back, pants down, with Ruari on top? I must be losing my touch. Ruari spoke in his even, suave voice.53

"You hurt yourself? Clumsy, clumsy Tetsu-kun."54

I growled and said, "Get off, Ruari."55

"I'm here to help. You can't reach your wound with your tongue...but I can."56

Eukarians are hard to hurt for long because our tongues are coated with a healing salve of sorts. We can't taste it, but if we lick an area of broken skin it immediately closes up. Ruari and I have it, too, of course, but I wish Ruari didn't at the moment. I shot him a glare with my red-gray eyes.57

"I'll be fine. Just get the fuck off."58

He smirked and I hated that it was sexy.59

"My. You're feisty today."60

He said he was going to help me close the wound, but he jabbed the stab with the side of his knee. He was wearing his Eukarian assassin outfit, so the metal plate dug into the raw skin. I heard the 'squish' and then the pain that came was worse than when the blade made the wound. I cried out and couldn't help but scream his name: "Ruari...!!" It was supposed to sound threatening, but it didn't come out so... threatening. I turned my head and clenched my teeth together. The pain was throbbing. I was taking deep breaths so I wouldn't whine. That's what Ruari wanted...61

"I can't tell whether you liked that or not."62

He ran his eyes over me. I probably looked so helpless under him. He laughed and continued, "Tetsu-kun...I'm not a bad person..."63

He brought my arms up above my head. The pain had subsided a little as he clasped my thin wrists in one of his hands. I watched him un-straddle my waist and sit on the ground next to my wounded hip. He carefully removed what clothes I had covering my legs. Now all I had was my shirt, socks, and shoes. I was exposed to him, which obviously was not good.64

I tried my best not to seem embarrassed or afraid, but I was indeed scared of Ruari. I had some control over my body, so I rolled over; away from him. He seemed amused.65

"Now, now. I'm not going to rape you. Not yet, anyways."66

"Ruari you sick bastard..."67

"Ooh, is that any way to talk to the person who's going to heal you?"68

He pushed on my injury with his index finger; hard. I groaned; I think his finger went into my leg. I yelled, finally, and it echoed through the bathroom. My body wouldn't let me stay calm anymore. I rolled onto my back again to see Ruari licking the blood off his finger. 69

I panted and said shakily, "Please...stop it..." 70

Ruari smiled, finger still on his lips. I gulped and whispered, "Please?"71

Very humiliating. I was giving him what he wanted, I know, but my leg was on fire and he would keep hurting me until I begged him.72

"You're so cute when you're helpless."73

Ruari brought his head down to my leg. I shuddered as he ran his tongue up my leg and over my stab wound. The pain faded away as the skin reformed quickly in a lighter shade of my skin tone. As soon as that was done he let me go and said, satisfied, "I'll still be here, watching you, Tetsu-kun. You can tell your little friends, but they can't catch me. You can even leave, but I'll follow you until Kimou is dead." (Kimou is Minoru's last name) I scrambled over on my hands and knees to my clothes and yanked them on clumsily.74

Ruari licked his lips and added, "By the way you taste phenomenal."75

I leered at him then a growl escaped and I threw a punch at him; he grabbed it with his hand, easy. I stared angrily at his cloudy blue eyes. I held that stare until my other hand found one of the blades on the floor. I swiped my leg under Ruari as soon as I grabbed the dagger's hilt. To my surprise Ruari actually fell back onto his butt. I swung my dagger close to his vital organs, but I froze up. Ruari smirked.76

"Oh, yes...that's right. You won't kill one of your own. Even you know that. I wouldn't even commit such a thing. Good thing sexual harassment is allowed at work, though, huh, Tetsu-kun?"77

I dropped to my knees and closed my eyes. There was nothing I could do. I can't kill Ruari, he hasn't done anything illegal, but he can kill me if I don't follow orders. I can't keep fighting him off, he's better than me. And I can't run because he'll find me and... I think he might actually rape me next time. The only way out would be to kill Minoru...or to kill myself, but that wouldn't solve anything. Someone else would just have to get Minoru.78

"I...I understand my mission..."79

"Good. Maybe now I won't have to kill my precious, little Tetsu-kun."80

"..."81

"Try to understand. I really am helping you. I'm trying to save your life, here, Tetsuyu. And unless Minoru is killed, all of Eukaria will be destroyed and people murdered or enslaved. Do you want to be the cause of all of that?"82

"No, Ruari...but... you must understand why I can't kill him."83

"Because he's your friend? That's your fault for befriending the enemy. I would gladly kill him, but it is your mission."84

My eyes welled up. This wasn't fair. I loved Minoru. He was my best friend, along with Keito. And Keito would be so upset if I killed Minoru. Anyways, I didn't really want to fall a whole nation of vampires who've done nothing. (Without the Shadow they would be lost to chaos.) I wished I didn't have such a decision on my shoulders.85

I stood up with my back to him and drug my arm across my eyes to wipe the tears away. Ruari watched, leaning against the wall, arms crossed across his chest again as I pulled my belt tighter on my pants. He seemed to think I was fine with him sexually harassing me. Well, I fucking wasn't.86

"Tetsuyu, how did you meet Minoru?"87

"Why are you still here?"88

"You don't have to answer..."89

"Good, I won't."90

"...because I already know."91

I turned my head in shock. He knew about that?!92

"Yes, I know all about that night, Tetsu-kun, and I must say you are easily taken over by lust."93

I couldn't help but argue.94

"It wasn't like that! It wasn't-- ...H-He was consoling me!"95

"With kisses and such? With sex?"96

I shook my head, my now ruffled red hair flopping everywhere.97

"It wasn't like that!!"98

I couldn't explain it anymore than that. It just...wasn't sex. I mean we did do it, but it was to make me feel better. I was cold and alone in his vampire nation. The enemy's territory. His human step-mother found me in what was their backyard. I remember it was morning and I was curling up in the sunlight trying to stay alive. She ran inside and came back out with Minoru and his little brother, ironically named Tetsu. They fed me and kept me in Minoru's room. I woke up one night to find Minoru wrapped around my body. He was awake and speaking to me; telling me he felt sorry for me. I told him almost everything as we lay together, but I didn't tell him I was from Eukaria, therefore the God never knew. After a while I cried and Minoru CONSOLED me by kissing me softly on various areas of my face. He told me that it'd be alright; that he'd be here for me. Also he let me know he already loved Keito, but Keito would understand if I needed more consolation. I understood and didn't ask for more, but I did need it. I felt confused at the time because I wasn't supposed to be in the vampire nation let alone in the arms of the Vampire God's Shadow. Minoru sensed I felt stressed and gradually worked it off ending in...intercourse.99

I didn't know how Ruari found out about that night, but he using it as fucking blackmail material. I stormed past Ruari to leave the bathroom. As I crossed in front of him he said, "See you later, Tetsu-kun." He pissed me off so much. I growled back, "Fuck you."100

He laughed in his throat and replied, "Okay. Next time I get you."101

I felt wind blow out the door and I turned to find Ruari had disappeared. He had just run out the door in front of me. Damn, he was fast...yep, I was going to get raped.102

I regained my composure and fixed my hair before I left. Good thing I did because when I left the bathroom, Keito and Minoru were down the hallway. Keito grinned, ran up, and glomped me.103

"Tetsuyu!We were lookin' everywhere for you!"104

"Oh, sorry. I was exploring and I had to pee. ^_^,"105

Minoru walked up and said, "We found a room and we moved our stuff in it. Your stuff is in our room, too, 'cause--"106

"'Cause we want you to sleep with us!" Keito interrupted. Minoru rolled his eyes while Keito continued, "I don't want to leave you all alone. You can find a backup room, though, 'cause me and Minoru like to do it in private...unless you feel like joining in, of course. The more the merrier!"107

Minoru sighed.108

"Keito, you are a little too straightforward. You lack modesty- just talking about orgies like that."109

Keito looked at Minoru and smirked.110

"So?"111

"...good point."112

Minoru grabbed Keito and squeezed him playfully. I watched them laugh and play fight together... I'd be the one to destroy this relationship utterly. This wonderful, mutual romance. And I'd destroy in with death- the worst way. After I kill Minoru I might just kill myself so I could escape the guilt and the look on Keito's face for the rest of his life. I hated to admit it but Ruari was right about me not being able to kill my own kind. He was talking about himself, but I had my whole planet in mind. If I let my feelings for Minoru get in the way then his nation will take my whole planet which would be my fault in the end. However, if I kill him then his nation would turn on itself and collapse in confusion and far spread chaos. That wouldn't be my fault if you didn't follow it back to the source... unless one of the vampires found out. ...Keito. If he found out that I killed Minoru, he could tell the Vampire God and...and I don't know what would happen, but I know I would die. Either way there was a chance of me dying. One being sure-fire: the one where I don't do my job because Ruari would kill me for mutiny. 113

I decided I would kill Minoru tomorrow night.114

Chapter 2115

The next day I was wearing a 'mask' the whole time. It's hard to be happy when you feel like the Grim Reaper : able to see a cloud of death over someone's head all day. Especially a friend that you'd kill with your own hands.116

The hotel we were at had a pool out back, so, naturally, Minoru and Keito drug me outside to play. I certainly wasn't in the mood for fun so I got into my black swimming trunks and just lay there on my stomach on a poolside chair/couch thingy. The warmth all down my back made me sleepy so I closed my eyes.117

I was drifting in and out of sleep and I could still hear splashing. Then I remembered Ruari was probably watching me right now and that I should get up right away before he freakin' rapes me. My brain told my body to be alert, but the only movement that brought was my ear to twitch before I fell asleep.118

I dreamt...well, it was more of a nightmare. It was Minoru's death. Like it was happening right then. The dream was in third person and it was more of the end scene of the murder. I was standing over by the door with bloody hands and a dagger dripping in red. In the middle of the room was Minoru- dead in Keito's embrace. His neck had a thick slash crossing over his windpipe. I had a blank expression on my face, like a zombie. Keito looked at me in disbelief and said something. No noise came. Disbelief turned into anger and he threw silent screams at me while he cried buckets. My dream body took slow steps towards Keito wielding the dagger. My conscious thoughts pleaded for me to wake up. It kept in suspense and I woke right when my dagger plunged into Keito's head.119

My teary eyes shot open and I was sweating. I felt someone's hand stroking me from my head down to my tailbone. I wanted to stretch out like a cat and enjoy the petting. It did feel good. I wanted to go back to sleep, too, but when I caught sight of Minoru and Keito unconscious on the ground next to the couch/chair thing, I was wide awake. Sleep made my voice crack as I pushed myself up slightly.120

"Minoru? Keito?"121

Someone responded to my voice, but it DEFINITELY wasn't who I wanted to hear.122

"They'll wake up in a little bit, Tetsu-kun."123

Another caress went by before I flipped over spastically to see Ruari smiling at me. It was a loving smile, but I saw it as sinister.124

"Wh-What the hell do you want?"125

I was still on the couch/chair thing and Ruari was sitting on the other side, so there wasn't a lot of room to escape him. He actually didn't move towards me like I expected him to do. Instead he stared at me and said seriously, "The boss wants to know when you are going to kill him. He says if you leave the hotel and Minoru gets back to the Vampire God's side then I am to kill you." He held up his blade meaningfully.126

"Do you want to die?"127

I murmured, "No..."128

"Then--"129

"I'm fucking doing it tonight, Ruari! Ok?! Are you satisfied? I'm going to kill my best friend, alright?! Jesus..."130

I felt tears roll down my face and I could feel Ruari watching them, but I didn't care. He sighed like he was worried.131

"Tetsuyu, can you do this?"132

I looked at my feet at the other end of the couch/chair thing. I smiled eerily.133

"I'm going to kill myself after Minoru."134

"What is that going to do?"135

"Kinda like nirvana."136

"He was just a one-night stand."137

I snapped my head up to look at Ruari. I growled and pointed a finger at him.138

"He is my goddamn friend, it wasn't a 'one-night stand', and if you imply that one more time I will fucking shove that motherfucking dagger so far down your damn throat, the next time you wipe your ass the point will cut your hand."139

Even Ruari was surprised I lost my temper and launched a slew of swear words and threats at him. The shock didn't last long before he went back to being a jerk, though. I folded my arms and looked into the blue pool water angrily. Ruari didn't move. I snapped at him, "You can leave now." He laughed and I tried to ignore him, but I failed and knew I should haul ass out of there.140

"Not yet."141

I felt his fingers poke around my neck, but before I could respond he utilized one of my pressure points. I flopped down and couldn't move for about five seconds. Unfortunately, that was enough time for Ruari to position and sit on my back. I didn't even try to act tough; I struggled and whined, "No, no! Ruari, please! Don't!" He laughed and played with my inhuman ears as he said calmly, "Your begging isn't making it easier for me to resist you, Tetsu-kun. It will happen anyways. Begging is just making me want you more."142

My throat hurt as I let out sobs. I sounded like a little kid at the dentist, I'm sure. It wasn't all because I was about to get ravished, but also because I haven't cried like this since I found I had to kill Minoru- and I needed to cry about that a lot.143

I screamed hoping maybe Minoru or Keito would hear me and wake up, but they just lay on their backs next to each other like they were sleeping. Their pale vampire skin glistening with pool water in the sun. Well... at least they're having a nice nap...144

Ruari reached around and clasped a hand over my mouth and I looked at him as best I could through a watery lens.145

"Tetsu-kun, usually you aren't this loud and squirmy. Usually, you're angry at this point. What's wrong? Stress giving you mood swings?"146

I bit at his hand, but he moved it away before I got a grip. I yelled at him, "You motherfucking piece of shit! I hate you so fucking much!"147

He tossed back his head and laughed.148

"That's it. That's normal. I guess you're fine."149

I twisted and struggled to get Ruari off of my back. He only lifted up for a second to remove my shorts. My shouts and outbursts echoed off the walls as he continued preparing himself. I closed my eyes and pleaded with myself that it was another dream. Another nightmare. 150

But I felt something... something at my butt... I knew what it was, but my stomach lurched at the thought of it. Fuck, fuck, fuck....151

*This wouldn't hurt... this wouldn't hurt... He won't do it... he's bluffing...*152

I tried using mind over matter, but suddenly I felt him ram into me, ripping into me, with no regard to anything but himself and I cried out. It hurt and he did it and he wasn't bluffing. I gripped the sides of the plastic frame and each time he pulled out he came back in harder and I screamed in time with him. My mind was in terrible misery, but to my dismay by body was aroused and I came. Shortly after that... I passed out at some point as I was raped by Ruari.153

He left me where he found me: on the couch/chair thing. Except I was spent and my throat was raw from the din we made. My eyes and whole body ached with every wave of blood my heart pumped out. I wanted to do nothing but sleep. I didn't respond at all when Ruari kissed my cheek while he covered my body with a towel. He even cleaned up our sticky mess- how sweet. My cloud digger ears were limp on my tousled hair when Ruari seemed to disappear into thin air.155

I slowly and idly got up and stood holding the towel on my cold form. I found my swimming trunks and pulled them on. I was trying to figure out what to do next, so I stood there, shaking. 156

I heard Keito moan from his spot on the ground. He sat up and put a hand to his head. He looked at Minoru and shook him.157

"Minoru. Wake up."158

He didn't move. Keito and my eyes both bugged slightly. Did...did Ruari kill him? Keito shook him violently.159

"Minoru!! Minoru!!"160

The emerald-haired vampire swatted impatiently at Keito's hands. He sat up as well and said groggily, "Quit shaking me, you psycho."161

Keito slapped Minoru's arm.162

"I thought you were dead! You know how sad I would be if you died?! Next time I shake you, you'd better flippin' answer!"163

Minoru smiled at him warmly.164

"Ok.. I'm sorry."165

Why are they suddenly saying the right things to make me feel worse? I sighed. Keito heard and turned to offer me a smile. I just looked at him. No smile- just, you know... looked at him. T_T ((Heehee)) He frowned and squinted to see my face in the now setting sun. He stood up and approached me.166

"Tetsuyu, your eyes are blood-shot. Have...you been crying?"167

Immediately, Minoru stood, too, and came over. He studied me.168

"What happened? Are you ok?"169

I blinked and avoided eye contact. When I spoke my voice came as a whisper unintentionally.170

"I'm...fine. I just got pool water in my eyes. I went...swimming when you took a nap."171

I think Minoru reached out to touch my arm, but I felt my eyes start to water, so I turned on my heel away from him. and started to walk back inside.172

About an hour rolled by while I sat in my 'back-up' room. I was laying on my side with my normal clothes on... including my belt with the would-be weapons in it. Over the hour I heard Keito talking to Minoru about me through the door. Keito wanted to come in to see if I was ok, but Minoru wouldn't let him. Eventually, I heard a soft knock at the door. I rolled onto my back and said, "Come in..."174

It was Minoru. My stomach fluttered as he shut the door behind him. I had the feeling he was to die in this room. He stood by the door and spoke quietly.175

"Are you all right? You've been crying all day. Since the pool anyways. I've been keeping Keito away because he's not too... you know... comforting when someone's sad. He's too cheery to take it slow."176

I looked at the ceiling, still on my back.177

"It's nothing. I just... I'm..."178

I couldn't think of an excuse. I glanced at Minoru's leafy eyes and they were filled with concern. I quickly sat up and leaned against the pillows behind me resting on the headboard. I held out my arms and had a grin plastered to my face.179

"Really, Minoru. I'm completely OK. Maybe just a little, tiny bit lonely, but it's nothing you should worry about on your break."180

Minoru sighed, yet smiled softly, as he walked towards me.181

"You know what happened last time you told me you were lonely?"182

I knew he was referring to the night he found me, but I just kept quiet. He sat on the bed and scooted closer. He lightly touched my lips with his as he whispered, "I know you remember."183

I whispered back, "Yes...I remember..."184

It was the same as last time. It wasn't anything bad, it was just contact consolation. We kissed a few times before he started kissing and biting my collarbone. His vampire fangs enhanced the sensuality of the act. I tilted my head back and he led his kisses up my neck all the way to where my jawbone curved. I drew back and kissed the corner of his mouth. He rubbed my back as I spoke.185

"Thank you for all you've done for me..."186

"...You say it as if this is our first and last meeting. I'll see you again."187

I wrapped my arms around his neck and fell back, taking him down with me into the silk dressed pillows. He buried his face in between my shoulder and neck. I reached down to pull my dagger out of the belt loop. I moaned deeply as he licked my neck- probably about to leave a mark. I inhaled Minoru's sweet yet masculine scent while holding the blade adjacent to my forearm. I held his head down, closed my eyes, and drove the metal straight through the side of Minoru's neck. I kept pushing until I felt it pop, with a grotesque snap, through the other side.189

At first there was silence. I opened my eyes to be met with the horrid sight of Minoru gagging and choking- blood oozing and squirting a little from his neck. He coughed and blood splattered all over my face. He looked at me with, not hatred, but sorrow. It was like he was saying 'How could you?' He was clawing at the dagger, trying desperately to survive. He was gasping for air, but I'd basically sliced his windpipe in half. Almost like the dream, only with a stab rather than a slice.190

The slit vampire pupils were so thin, now, that they were practically nonexistent. I grabbed and pulled him to my chest as his body began shutting down. I brushed his forest green hair out of his face and saw his eyes begin to lose their luster. I put a shaky hand to my mouth.191

"My God... what have I done?"192

In my craze, I ripped the dagger out of his throat which caused more blood and a raspy yelp from Minoru. By then it was over. I should've known not to take it out. I thought I had cried all my tears during the rape session, but a few of them dribbled out. Minoru was crying, too. He tried to say something, but it was broken and scratchy. It kinda sounded like, "It's... ok... you did what... you had to... Tetsu... yu...." My hands were soaked to the bone with his blood. I supported Minoru with my right arm and had the stupid dagger in my left. I squeezed my eyes shut and said between clenched teeth, "Why... are you so nice? It's not ok! I'm killing you. You're going to die... because of me. You can be mad!"193

Minoru smiled weakly. I wondered how he could smile through all that pain. He turned his head and hacked up some blood all over the bed. He closed his eyes and dreamily said, "It's not... your fault... I knew about Ruari and... you being a Eukarian--"194

He barely got out his last words before a sickeningly familiar dagger flew past me and lodged into Minoru's chest. His body jerked and he let out what I guess was a scream before his eyes closed and he died.195

I clutched Minoru's head closer and leaned over him. He knew... he knew about everything. About Ruari and my Eukarian heritage. If he knew that then he must've known about my goal of killing him. Even so... he wouldn't have hurt me. And I killed him. I heard Ruari's voice behind me.196

"Huh... I didn't know he knew all that. Good thing we killed him."197

I ignored him even though he was walking over to me to take me back to Eukaria. To him, all of this was simply a mission- an assignment. Right when Ruari grabbed my shoulder, the door swung open. I turned to see Keito there. He inhaled sharply upon seeing the grisly sight and used the door frame as support when his knees buckled beneath him. He released the breath.198

"You...you killed him... Tetsuyu. ...Tell me it was that guy behind you..."199

I looked at Minoru's peaceful, yet bloody, face. I couldn't lie, but I didn't wanna seem proud.200

"Keito..."201

Ruari smirked and looked at Keito.202

"Yes, Tetsuyu murdered your beloved Minoru."203

Keito pointed to Ruari's Eukarian assassin badge.204

"Wait! You're a Eukarian assassin!? And..."205

His stare drifted back to me.206

"Tetsuyu... don't tell me that you're an assassin, too. You really did kill Minoru? ...Tell... tell me it's a lie! You... you couldn't have!"207

I closed my eyes as Keito fell to his knees, crying and repeating his words.208

"Tell me it's a lie, tell me it's a lie..."209

Ruari scoffed and tore his dagger out of Minoru's chest.210

"Sorry, but I have to kill you now. You know too much."211

Ebon wings unfurled from Keito's back and he stood up straighter. Ruari lunged at him and swiped the dagger at him, but Keito blocked it with his wrist. I jumped from the bed after laying Minoru down. I thought Keito would be bleeding, but the slash in his sleeve revealed a metal arm guard. I bet Minoru told him to wear it just in case.212

*I can't let Ruari kill Keito... I'll... I'll have to use a loophole in the rules like Ruari did...*213

Luckily, Keito was keeping up with Ruari while I thought of an idea.. Keito was cute, but he could kick ass. They exchanged hand to hand attacks a few more times before I put my plan into action. Breathing deeply, I rammed into Ruari from the side. He wasn't expecting that because he lost his balance and toppled over with me wrapped around him. I clamped onto him and he couldn't move at all. He grunted and said, "What are you doing?! I don't wanna have to kill you for betrayal!" 214

I nuzzled Ruari. -_-,215

"Ooh, Ruari your skin is so smooth and your lips are so soft. And you know earlier, by the pool? You left me there far too early. It felt fantastic; I wanted more of you."216

I kissed him roughly. He kinda returned the kisses, which is scary, but he was also struggling to get up. He managed to say through my kisses, "What... Tetsuyu, I know you're trying to protect Keito!"217

"Nuh-uh. I just thought you loved me... so I'm giving you what you want... right? Or... did you want something more?"218

I traced the muscles of my chest with my finger, then down the middle of my abdomen, and down my thigh. Ruari watched, as planned. Keito was holding in tiny sobs, still standing there. I moved my hand to Ruari's stomach and hissed at Keito, "Go..." I turned back to a now horny Ruari, who was trying not to be effected by me. Well, apparently, he couldn't because as I sat on his waist I could feel something pushing on me from below... Turning his head away, he mumbled, "I'm going to report you..."219

"You can't. Sexual harassment is allowed, and last I checked this is sexual harassment."220

I bent my head again and bit Ruari's bottom lip gently. I saw Keito gather up Minoru's corpse while eyeing me hatefully. I bit Ruari's lip a little harder; earning a soft moan and a slight pelvic thrust. ((or hump to you perverts XD)) Keito kicked open a window and said coldly, "Just because your stalling your little friend doesn't mean anything. However, I will warn you: get back to Eukaria and get ready for a vicious conflict." He leapt out the window and flew away with Minoru. He was probably on the way to the Vampire God to report this. I knew this would happen, but I wasn't about to fight a legion of vampires. I let go of Ruari and just hovered above him. He flicked his tongue over my frowning lips. We sighed in unison.221

"Well, Tetsu-kun, you've started a war. What do you have to say for yourself?"222

"So I started a war...then let's go."223

Ruari rose his eyebrows and said, "You're going to fight?"224

I got off of Ruari and stood up. I licked my lips and tasted Ruari's mouth. (I wish he didn't taste so nice. -_-) I looked over to all the blood pooled around the bed.225

"Something like that."226

Chapter 3227

I was supposed to go meet my boss when I got back to Eukaria, but I headed for the Eukarian Assassin Association's main computer; Ruari followed me. Well... he was the administrator of the working division, so he had to keep track of me, I guess. I looked over my shoulder and asked anyways, "Why are you following me?"228

"It's my job. Also, maybe you'll need me to allow one of your friends to escape. Even though it was fake it was good. It doesn't matter whether it's true or not- I still had your body."229

He purred and nuzzled my neck from behind. After being molested, raped, then having to molest him... nothing really fazed me. I shrugged him off and logged in. I asked, "What's the password?"230

"Which one?"231

"Self-destruct."232

Ruari pulled me away from the keyboard.233

"What? You can't blow us up. We're basically Eukaria's only defense."234

I yanked myself away from him and typed in another code. It was a fairly long process of verification and whatnot, so I spoke while I typed.235

"I know what I'm doing. The only thing bad that'll happen is we'll lose the headquarters and... I'll die."236

"...So what's blowing HQ up supposed to do?"237

"I'm going to wait until the vampires get here. They'll send the whole army and I'll blow us all to Hell. That way even with the EAA gone you won't have to worry because most of the fighter vampires will be dead."238

Ruari stood silent behind me until I typed the last key of the evacuation code. I turned to him; he was looking awful sad. Maybe the bastard really did love me. I might've loved him too, and been his willing uke, if he didn't harass me every two seconds. I sighed.239

"Are you going to evacuate?"240

He looked away, towards the floor. Aw, he looked so cute when he was sad. His odd-colored hair, shimmery lavender, falling into his eyes a bit with the tilt of his head. His voice seeming shy.241

"I don't know. I want to die with you. See... I... never meant to hurt you, but I couldn't help it. You understand..."242

I felt myself blush a little.243

"I- I want you leave. The vampires might hurt you and if you manage to beat them you'll get blown up. Even if you are a selfish son-of-a-bitch, I don't wanna see you die. If you must die, do it out in the hall." Ruari smirked and that wicked grin almost made it ok that he raped me. Almost.244

"Whatever you say, Tetsu-kun."245

I turned back to the keyboard and was about to initiate the code. I was centimeters away from the 'enter' key when Ruari grabbed me. He spun me around and kissed me, which was the only real kiss between us. (Distraction kissing didn't count). I slammed my fist down on the keyboard behind me and the evacuation alarm sounded. Ruari let his hand slide down my face as our lips parted. His piercing blue eyes penetrating my widened red ones. I turned abruptly.246

"Ok, ok. Leave. ...Fucking pervert..."247

Ruari laughed and then whispered the code in my ear. Before I knew it, I was alone. I hid as the whole EAA streamed past the door and out of the building. After about fifteen minutes I looked out the window. Thousands of people were heading for the city about twenty miles away. I saw a familiar silvery-purple-haired person directing people. I guess Ruari was only a prick to me.248

I sat and waited for the vampires. I shook the red strands of hair out of my glassy eyes. So much had happened in two days, and before the day was over these events would go down in history. The murder of the Vampire God's Shadow, carried out by the one he saved; the invasion of the EAA; and the biggest event: the explosion that killed the said invaders. It wouldn't matter if my name wasn't in the books. All that mattered was that I kept Eukarian casualties to a minimum and that the sacrifice of my life would help me repent. 249

Keito would have to live alone, unless he was caught in the building when it exploded. I typed in the code while I thought, but didn't push enter. Suddenly, I heard wing-beats. Rumbling like thunder in the distance. I jumped up and looked out the window. On the horizon, black wings. Thousands and thousands of black wings. The sun was setting and blazed behind them making them look like bats out of Hell, but they were vampires.250

Calmly, I set the timer for five minutes. When they arrived over the forest surrounding the EAA I pushed 'enter'. A computer voice came out of the PA as the clock started.251

+Self-destruct activated. Five minutes until detonation.+252

After one minute, I heard banging of vampires landing on the roof and breaking open doors and walls. It would take them a little while to find me. I was the only one in the large building; by the time they found me it would be too late.253

I watched the timer intently as it reached one minute. It'd be over soon. I started to relax, thinking they wouldn't get to me in time. However, the feathers on my cloud digger ears ruffled as I heard a voice yell, "I found one!" I spun around and a bunch of vampires stood in the doorway. I glanced at the clock- 00:38:14.254

One of the vampires said, "That's Tetsuyu! Keito said that's the one who killed Shadow Kimou!" I backed up against the keyboard with a stern, defiant look. They lunged at me and I saw the room flip over and suddenly I was on my knees. I cried out as one vampire sharply bit my neck. Another sunk his fangs into my arm. I would've fallen over if the vampires weren't holding me up and sucking out my life. I struggled against the four feeding who were latched onto various parts of me. The countdown read off- 00:15:03255

My vision blurred as I pleaded it to go faster. One of the vampires finally noticed the timer and said, "This place is gonna blow in ten seconds!!! You! Overwrite it!" The vampire he instructed rushed over and began typing. A red box popped up. The typing vampire turned paler, if that was possible. He said meekly, "It's no good... Tetsuyu put up a hack barrier. I can't undo it in five seconds..."256

I felt my body go limp and my heartbeat slowed. My heart had no more blood to pump through me. I smirked and whispered my last words:257

"You motherfuckers..."258
