her breaths slow..and unsteady2
Every time she blinked,3
For that matter, every time4
she took in a breath, Rose felt the sharp sting of the Atlanic ice cold temperature run down her throat.5
Jack's hand, was the only sense of warmth in her whole body.6
She smiled dreamily, thrilled that at last, finally, she was with Jack, always and forever.7
She didn't quite care about her environment at that moment, she was with Jack, that was all the matter, even if she was right smack in the middle of the ocean, laying helplessly half-frozwn on a broken door from the Titanic.8
If Jack jumped, so did Rose. That was the way it was, no matter what Cal thought. She was no longer his precious, show doll.9
Rose skimmed her finger over Jack's cold hand, feeling it's rough surface, and his bumpy knuckles.10
She watched the glimmering little stars, shine like Jewels in the sky, murmuring the song "Josephine", Jack had sang to her once. Her voice cracked, and she coughed, feeling even more helpless than before. Where the hell where the boats? They have to come back from everyone! They couldn't just leave hundreds of innocents out here to die!
Suddenly, reality hit her. There were no voices, no one splashing in the water violently.
"I'm going to die.." she moaned to herself.11
Rose wanted to cry, she wanted to let the tears slip down, but they could not. Her body wouldn't let her.12
She let her eyes wander side to side, all she saw were
blue faced civilians, floating aimlessly, not a soul moving. No one was alive. 13
Then..what-wait? A--distant bell sound, was it?14
No? Wait...a..voice, then a flick of light flushed her face.15
She saw the small ripples move like teeny waves toward her.16
"IS ANYONE OUT THERE?! IS ANYONE ALIVE?! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" a deep voice bellowed.17
A boat. Finally. A boat! Someone had come from them.18
It took Rose's mind awhile to comprehend what was happening. Then finally, she twisted her body around on the large hunk of wood with difficulty.19
Jack was in the water. Only his shoulders and up were above the water. The two of them couldn't fit on the wood, it'd unbalance the door, and both of them would topple back into the liquid ice.20
Rose considered not waking him, he looked so peaceful.
But a but had finally come for them!21
"Jack..Jack" her voice stumbled, her small framed hands now both on him, shaking him,22
Rose shook his hands violently,23
"Jack! Jack.." her voice getting it's volume back more.24
No, no, no! He would not leave her! Not like this! He promised.25
"Jack! Jack! Jack! It--it's a b-boat! Jack!" Rose let out whimpers and finally let a few salty tears slide down her cheek, blurring her vision. 26
Her heart fluttered with sorrow, her stomach twisting into an impossible knot.
The one man who had her heart, was gone. Forever.27
"Jack! Jack" she moaned helplessly. She cradled his hands in hers, kissing them, shaking them more against the wood.28
"IS ANYONE OUT THERE?! IS ANYONE ALIVE?! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" the voice repeated again, becoming out there, the yellow light passing right ovr Rose. 29
Should she try to catch the boat, and survive? Or should she be with the one she loved, at the bottom of the Atlantic? 30
"Come back...come back-" her lips numb.31
"Come back..come back.." Rose's voice cracked.32
She let her gaze fall over Jack, his beautiful eyes, were closed forever.33
" I love you. I'll never let go, I promise." She kissed his hands tenderly for the last time, not bearing to unclasp their hands, but she managed34
Rose let go.35
She let go of Jack.36
She promised him though, he promised her. But always, their hearts would stay connected, never letting go.37
Rose watched, as Jack's pale face disappeared into the deep blue.38
Her last look. She watched until she couldn't even see the glinting39
of his silver handcuffs, and like that, he was gone. 40
***41
"Name, miss?" A young many in navy blue asked her, surrounding Rose under a large dark umbrella. She looked at him, contemplating.42
"Rose. Rose Dawson." she answered.43
Author notes
Okay, this was SO hard to write! Lol. I based this on oen of my ALL TIME FAVORITE movies, Titanic. The scene where Rose lets Jack slip away, but of course she promises to never let go. I tried hard..to uh..like make it in Rose's point ov view, but I dont know if I did that quite right..lol.
This scene, ALWAYS makes me cry. I am not kidding. I loved it.
Hope you enojy!!! XD
