I have found myself in murky waters. Oh, I have been here before, but not quite in this particular spot. It all started when I opened my front door this morning. It looked like a normal day, the sun was just beginning to rise, and the sky was turning from a pinkish glow to a crimson horizon. The morning birds were scolding me, for not sharing a breakfast roll with them yet. I went to the kitchen for a cup of coffee and a roll, more for the birds than myself. When I reached the front door, I noticed the world outside had changed. The sky was no longer crimson, but a murky orange brown. I had never see this color in the sky before, and was totally mesmerized. The birds seemed to be also, as they had quit scolding and sat on the phone wire silently watching the sky. I walked out the door and onto the rock path. It felt squishy under my feet. I took another step, then another, it was like walking on sponge. The world was changing somehow, the entire makeup. I could feel it. I could feel the molecules in my own body changing. I continued down the path, bouncing and laughing. I felt more fluid, less rigid than before.
I noticed the trees and plants looked less rigid also. Everything did. The more I looked the more I could see things flow, move into each other. I wandered down to the river and watched it flow by, in a way it had never done before, it was like paisley, swirling and twirling. The color matched the sky. It was like variegated chocolate swirling it's way to the ocean. The ocean! I had to see what the ocean looked like in this new world, or dimension, whatever it's nature. I climbed into the row boat and headed for the ocean.
So I find myself in murky waters, waiting and watching my new world unfold. I know if I row long enough, and hard enough, I will eventually reach the sea.

That was very interesting! I was hoping someone would choose this prompt; I thought it would make an interesting story. I guess I was right! I've always been fascinated by stories about alternate dimensions/worlds, so I really enjoyed this. Great job and thanks for entering!

Coolio This sounds pretty deep even if it didn't mean to be. If the world ever looked like that in real life I'd die, it's so swirly!! XD Lol good luck with the contest!!
