He was definatly my dad, he looked exactly the same as when I last saw him. But I last saw him in a picture with my mum with a newspaper title 'Parents killed in Car Accident'. I stumbled backwards. My hand was clutched over my mouth and I was finding it hard to breath. 1
'Melissa, I can explain everything...' He started, 2
'Melissa?' I questioned, 'My name is Fiona, not Melissa'3
'Actually, you were renamed by your foster parents after they found your mother and I 'dead'. We had named you Melissa after your mothers great ancester. The first of a long chain' He replied4
'The first of a long chain? The first of what?' 5
'Of Vampires'6
I gasped again. My ancester was a vampire...? Does that mean that I...?7
'Yes' My dad replied, reading my mind8
'But I cant be, vampires are a fairy tale written to scare children!' I cried, however it did explain the creepy dreams I had been experiencing since I was a child9
'The 'dreams' as you call them are memories. Memories of your past life, of the past lives of ancesters, and of the past lives of your parents. They show you how to hunt, how to kill, how to feed and most of all... how to clean up after yourself. These lessons are vital to becoming a vampire' said my dad10
'But I dont want to be a vampire! I didn't ask for this life! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!!' I screamed, suddenly very angry, I started hitting my dad hard on the chest. 'YOU LEFT ME ALONE!!...' I started sobbing '...You left me alone...'11
'Look around you' said my dad, taking me in his arms. Suddenly the bodies of all my relatives, my mum, my ancesters appeared around me in a ghostly form. Names filled my head. Even though I had grown up not knowing any of my family, I somehow knew who all these people were. 12
'You were never alone' said my dad. My body started tingling and I was filled with a new sensation, a new power that I had never felt before. It over powered me and I fell to the ground...13
