Fireside, Indiana

A single blonde woman was clearing tables at Sullie's Bar, the neighborhood hotspot. The last of her usual customers had just left. She sighed. She liked it here in Indiana. Ol' Sullie was a real sweetheart, giving her a job and the apartment above the bar. She probably wouldn't have stuck around if it hadn't been for him.1
The blonde heard the door open, and then close, and turned around slowly. Her hand lingered over the knife in her pocket; she remembered the last time someone had snuck up on her after closing time. Even when she saw it was just a teenage girl, she remained alert. Danger comes in all shapes and sizes.2
"Sorry, hun, but we're closed."3
"Oh." The girl, rather small for her age, looked lost. "Are you Jo Harvelle?"4
Jo's eye's narrowed suspiciously. "That depends. Who's askin'?"5
"I'm, I'm a friend of the Winchesters," the girl stuttered, hefting her backpack. "They told me that if I could find you, you'd probably let me stay a night or two."6
Now Jo was really confused. This dark haired, dark eyed, fragile looking girl knew the Winchester brothers? "Hang on, you a Hunter?"7
The girl gave a more relaxed smile. "Guilty."8
"And Sam and Dean sent you?"9
The girl nodded.10
Jo put on a smile. "Well, then, come on in. I don't really have an extra bedroom, but you can sleep on the couch..."11
As the girl picked up her bags, Jo led the way up the stairs to her apartment. Just outside the door, she feigned tripping and swore. "Christo!"12
The girl didn't so much as flinch. Instead, she looked concerned. "You okay?"13
Jo nodded. "Yeah, just a little clumsy. By the way, you got a name?"14
"Evans. Kasey Evans."

Sam Winchester knelt in the dirt of a South Dakota crossroad. Looking at a little picture of himself, he sighed and tucked it into a little box, which he burreid under a layer of gravel and dirt. Taking a deep breath he stood up, dusted off his hands, and waited.15
Nothing happened. Looking around at the night, Sam growled in frustration. But then, the demon he'd been seeking appeared in the form of a woman wearing a slinky black dress and a seductive smile. "Hello, Sam. You do realize that I can't help you, right? Dean's deal has no loopholes."16
Sam frowned. "How'd you know this was about Dean?"17
The demon laughed. "It's easy; you Winchesters are all the same. Your dad came for Dean, and Dean came for you. It was only a matter of time before you tried the exact same thing."18
"But I can't," Sam said, both for himself and the demon. "I already know you won't take my soul instead of Dean's. So I've brought you a counter offer."19
"Oh, really? Let's hear it," the demon chuckled.20
"I've found a soul worth way more than Dean. We're talking big time," Sam said, pacing in a circle around the demon. "The Yellow Eyed Demon."21
The demon laughed again, a full bodied sound, throwing her head back. "Who, Azazel? He's dead. You boys killed him yourselves."22
Sam shook his head. "Not all of him. He sealed a little bit of himself away for safe keeping." The demon looked uncertain. "But you didn't know that, did you?"23
"How do I know you're not playing with me?" the demon asked, her mannerisms uncharacteristically hesitant.24
"Kasey Evans," Sam ground out. "She's the one he chose. You don't believe me, fine. But you should check her out yourself."25
Although she didn't look completely convinced, the demon flattered Sam with a smile. "Maybe I will. See you around, Sammy." With a final flutter of her fingers in the Hunter's direction, the demon was gone.26
Sighing, Sam trudged over to the Impala, which he'd parked on the side of the road. That hadn't gone too bad; at least, she could have said no straight out. Sam revved the engine and turned back the way he had come from Bobby's house, already formulating a cover story. He knew it was too much to hope that the other Hunters were still asleep. Hell, they'd probably woken up the second he'd walked out the door.27
Further down the road, a set of headlights appeared, coming toward him at a fast speed. Sam blinked in their bright light, as pain lanced through his temples. Before he knew what was happening, the world around him dissolved in a swirl of color.28
He say a Jo walking down a dimly lit hallway, holding a gun in front of her with one hand, while her other clutched a spray bottle at her side. A noise behind her made her whirl around, but there was nothing there. Taking a deep breath, she turned back around, only to scream in surprise, finding a dark figure standing before her. in her surprise the gun fell from her hand, and she released a spray of water in her attacker's face.29
The water glistened on Kasey's face, her skin only steaming a little. "Holy water? That tickles."30
Kasey threw her hand up and Jo was thrown backwards down the stairs. She slammed into a wall at the bottom, and lay still.31
In a sudden burst of unforgiving light, Sam was slammed back into the present. He was still gasping air back into his lungs when he registered the fact that he was still in the car, and it was still moving. He managed to slam on the breaks and jerk the Impala into an awkward spiral, just barely missing a collision with the other car, which mimicked his movements in the opposite direction. As he jerked to a stop, he was vaguely aware of the sound of slamming doors and running footsteps.32
"Jesus, Sammy."33
Sam squinted out the window at his brother, feeling the beginning of a headache building behind his eyes. "Hey, Dean."34
Dean frowned. "What happened? You almost plowed right into us. And in my car, too! I'm never letting you drive her again!"35
Realizing the engine was still going, Sam retrieved the key and handed it over. "Sorry, I... I had a vision."36
All anger drained from Dean's face. "Really? What'd you see?"37
Sam ignored the question. "What're you doing here, anyways?"38
"Bobby and I came looking for you're sorry ass," Dean snapped. "We got a call from Jo, asking about-"39
"Kasey," Sam interrupted. "I know, my vision was about her. We've gotta get to her, Dean. Things didn't look good."
-----
"Damn it," Ellen swore, slamming her cell phone down on Bobby's kitchen table. "Jo's not answering her phone."40
Dean sighed and stood. "Alright, Bobby, Sam, we'd better get going."41
Ellen followed them into the library, looking furious. "Like hell you're leaving me behind. She's my daughter!"42
"Yeah, and Kasey's very dangerous," Dean said checking that everything they'd taken out of the car was present in his duffel. "Luckily, we've all dealt with her before."43
As Dean turned to leave, Ellen stepped forward and grabbed him by the shirt. "Let me ask you something, Dean. If Sam was missing, would you trust anyone but yourself to bring him back?"44
Dean swallowed. "Fine," he said, his voice sounding oddly rough. "Bobby stays, we take Ellen. But you will not do anything stupid when you see Jo unless you want us all killed." Ellen nodded.45
"Great, let's go," Sam said impatiently.46
Bobby didn't like being left behind, but he knew somebody had to incase something happened. "Y'all be careful now."
-----
"Wakey, wakey, sleepy head."47
With a groan, Jo was roused from the darkness she'd been in by a harsh throbbing from the back of her head. Hell, she hurt everywhere, but she couldn't seem to remember what had happened.48
"I said, wake up."49
Jo's eye's flickered open, saw the girl standing in front of her, and everything came flooding back. Stifling another groan, she closed her eyes and leaned her head back. She should've just left when Dean had warned her to...50
A sharp slap against her cheek startled her eyes back open. Kasey jeered down at her. "Try and stay awake. That'll make things so much easier. Now," she said, crouching down in front of the pillar she'd tied Jo to. "Are they coming for you?"51
Jo struggled to comprehend how the vulnerable girl she'd taken in for the night had turned into her captor. "Who?"52
Kasey slapped her again, harder, and Jo spit out some blood; she'd bit the inside of her cheek. "The Winchesters, you idiot," Kasey snapped.53
"I don't know!"54
Kasey produced Jo's cell phone from out of no where. "It's been ringing all night. Let's check your messages, shall we?"55
Jo listened as both Dean and her mother tried frantically to get a hold of her. Last was a call from Bobby, letting her know they were on their way. Kasey gave an evil chuckle, a satisfied look on her face as she tucked the phone back into her pocket. 56
Jo took a calming breath. She couldn't understand why this was happening. Kasey wasn't possessed, or at least, wasn't showing signs of it. Shape-shifter, maybe? "What do you want from me?"57
"Nothing really; you've done your part. Open up," Kasey bent down in front of Jo, a thick bandana in her hand. Jo kept her jaw clenched shut, and Kasey sighed, producing a knife. "We going to do this the hard way or the easy way? That's better," she said, gagging Jo as she opened her mouth.58
Jo breathed in angrily, and tasted the drugs on the bandana too late. She tried to fight, but the darkness one.
-----
The Impala purred to a stop in front of Sullie's Bar. Cutting the engine, Dean looked at the darkened bar, then over at Ellen. "You sure this is it?" At Ellen's nod, he sighed and opened his door. "Alright, let's go."59
The door was locked, but Sam made short work of it with his pick. The bar looked fairly normal, but the Hunter's drew their guns all the same. Each one had a fair amount of extra ammo, and Dean had the Colt tucked into the back of his pants. He knew Sam would get mad, so he didn't say anything.60
A second later, they'd searched the whole place. Ellen, who remembered the layout from when she'd visited Jo a few months back, led them through the door behind the bar. They found themselves in a hallway with two staircases, one going up to Jo's apartment, and another going down. Ellen turned to look at the boys. "What d'you think? Should we split up?"61
Sam shook his head. "No, it's too risky. We should go down."62
"And how'd you figure that?" Dean asked, eying him with slight hesitation.63
"I don't know, Dean," Sam frowned back. "I just do, okay?" He shouldered his way past the others to take the lead.64
"Why's it always the basement?" Dean grumbled.65
The Hunters made their way as quietly as possible down a flight of rickety stairs into the basement. It was fairly large and lit only by the light coming from one tiny window. As their eyes adjusted, they made out several large, wood columns, and a crumpled figure at the base of one.66
"Jo!" Ellen hissed, dropping her guard completely to run toward her daughter. The brothers followed, though more cautiously. Ellen knelt down with a curse, and fumbled with the knots binding Jo to the pillar. Once freed, she slumped forward into her mother's arms. Untying the gag, Ellen spoke. "Jo, hun, wake up."67
Making sure they weren't in immediate danger, Sam crouched down beside them. He sniffed at the gag, then expelled all his air quickly. "Smells funny. Probably drugged her." His fingers probed the back of Jo's head, finding a large goose egg, but no blood. "She might have a concussion, but once the drug wears off, she should be fine, Ellen."68
Ellen nodded her relief. Dean shifted uncomfortably. "As much as that's a relief, we should get going. We don't wanna outstay our welcome."69
It all happened in a blink of an eye. Ellen had stooped to help Jo up when they all went flying. They ended up pinned by an invisible force to the four walls of the basement; Ellen facing a still unconscious Jo, and the Winchesters facing each other.70
"Well, hello boys. About time you showed up."
-----
Kasey stepped out of the shadows, and two pairs of eyes stared at her hatefully. Sam's gaze, however, was fully of indecision. Kasey looked the same; she was wearing her ratty jeans, old sneakers, and a big grey t-shirt she had stolen from Sam. But her eyes... even in the dim light, he could see her once dark eyes were now tinted yellow.71
She walked right up to Sam, crouching in front of him, and smirked. "Miss me, Sammy? I really wish you hadn't brought Ellen along..."72
She raised her hand in the direction of Ellen, and the older dropped to her chest, eyes closed. Sam started to struggle against his invisible bonds. "What'd you do to her? I swear-"73
"Relax, will you? I didn't do anything more than let her sleep. Poor woman looked tired." Kasey smiled.74
"What do you want from me?" Sam asked, gritting his teeth to try and control his anger.75
"Nothing. Actually, I want to help you with something."76
Dean snorted, speaking for the first time. "Bull."77
"What, Dean?" Kasey looked at him. "You don't wanna be saved from the pit?"78
"Wait," Sam spoke, suddenly urgent. "You can save Dean?"79
"No. I can help YOU save Dean," Kasey corrected, her yellow eyes boring into Sam's. "Yes, you, Sam. You have more power than you know."80
"Oh, come on," Dean said loudly. "She's lying, Sam, she's a demon. She doesn't care about saving me, she just wants to get you to turn dark side!"81
Kasey got up and walked toward Dean. "Ouch, Dean, that hurts. You really think I don't care? I'm not a complete monster, after all." Her eyes flickered black before becoming yellow once more. She started to walk toward the stairs. "But fine, if you really don't want the help..."82
"Wait!" Sam called. "What do I need to do?"83
She didn't even turn around. "There's a demon you need to find: Lilith." Then she was gone.
----
Half an hour later found the boy's in the car heading back to Bobby's, with the Harvelle women asleep on the back seat. Dean reached for the radio, settling in for the long drive.84
"Sam, I don't like it. She kidnaps Jo just so we show up, then let's us go with advice and without a scratch? I don't buy it," he said, glancing at his younger brother.85
"Well, it's all we've got, Dean. Let's just look into it, okay?" Sam all but pleaded, putting on his puppy-dog face.86
Dean could feel his resolve melting under Sam's gaze. "Fine. But I'm tellin' you, Sammy, I don't understand why you'll use that look on me, but not on chicks."87
Sam smiled and laughed. "Jerk."88
"Bitch."

Episode 8
Yes, I decided to bring Jo back, too. And I am going to do my own spin on the Lilith story line. Similar, but different at the same time. Hope you liked it!
