They rolled my bed out of the room and down the hall. I was perfectly capable of walking, but the doc insisted. 1
I read the signs on the walls as we rolled past. Neurology, section 4A. Cardiology, 3C. Dermatology, 3B. We were headed down a corridor labeled 4A. I guessed they were taking me to an MRI to check out my brain. 2
Sure enough, they wheeled me into a room with the label "MRI" above the door frame. The same blond nurse was now helping me onto the platform of the machine and a doctor was talking to me quietly.3
"Don't you worry, Beverly," he said in a rich voice. Despite his graying hair he looked very young. "We're just going to see what's going on inside your head. This machine is called an MRI-"4
"I know. Magnetic resonance imaging," I cut him off, my mouth moving of its own accord. "It uses a powerful magnet to align the nuclear magnetization of hydrogen atoms in H2O in the body. Radiofrequency fields change the alignment of the magnetization, causing the hydrogen nuclei to produce a rotating magnetic field, which the scanner then detects to form an image of my brain." I met his shocked expression with a smug smile. "Trust me, I know."5
"Going to be a doctor, I see?" he asked with a smile.6
"Nah," I waved a hand. "I'm just a smart ass."7
"I see," he said, and left to the control room, visible through a layer of glass.8
I lay back on the platform and sighed. I knew how this would work, I'd seen it done on House a hundred times. I would be scooted into the machine, there would be scary noises from inside, then the doctors would look thoughtfully at their computers, say something smart and scoot me out. Except in House something usually went horribly wrong while they were in the MRI machine, which I hoped wouldn't happen to me.9

Haha seems like a fun scene to write =) Since this is clearly a WIP and you're no where near done, I'll reserve actual comments for later.
Love ya.
