This is Love1

It's that upward bounce of your heart.......2

That heat when they're by your side...3

The comforting tenor of their laugh....4

Their eyes that make you feel like you're the only one in the world besides them.5

This is Love.6

That bitter bile boiling in your gut.......7

The tensing throb in your head........8

Their annoying way of butting in when not invited.....9

That anger you feel when they walk past, pretending nothing happened at all.10

This is Love.11

It's when you feel the day is wasted.....12

That blob you can't get out of your throat....13

Those feelings that you wish would disappear.....14

When all your muscles tell you one thing, but your pride won't allow you to stoop so low.15

This is Love.16

Sleepless night....Dreamfilled days...heart break and head aches....the joy of a game well played...feelings of emptiness....17

confusing over yourself, life, and the future.18

Knowing that no matter what you do. that one person's face will show up....19

Their name will arise....20

Or in the worst moment you think of how that shirt would have looked good on them.21

This is Love.22

It heals......mars.......excites......depresses.....angers....chides, welcomes, deforms, conjoins, leaves, delights.stinks.builds.dies.changes.hurts.stays.disappears.gives.takes scars. surprises...and ultimately fucks us over and gives us a reason to keep going!

Author notes

More than just the every day "i love you" that deep connection between two people. In all its facets can describe many relationship between a two lovers, family, friends, and/ or human-pet.

    This started off so happy. So light-hearted and fun. Then it had to go into the black hole.

    hummm... interesting view that you have on love there my friend. This was a little long for my taste but that does not mean that it was not a well rounded, well written piece. Thanks for sharing this with us and thanks for entering this into my contest.
