What Envelope?

It's sunny, when you get down to street level it's dark, the buildings block all the light.
I stare straight ahead, and look at the building across the street. There's a meeting going on, looks important, but boring.
I look down, a street, cars whizzing past, the noise so loud it reaches me on the 53 floor.
I see a couple of prostitutes, some guy selling drugs and a stray dog. A prostitute goes to the guy, buys something, then goes and gets high next to the dog. The dog just gets up goes to the window infront of me (53 stories down of course), and looks straight up me. Cute.
I look to the left, it's downtown, even more traffic. I see an old lady's purse get stolen, and her son race after the thief. I turn my head right to keep watching. The son got the purse. The theif gets put in a cop car. Yay.
I look up. The skyscraper keeps going, that's why it's a skyscraper. I turn to look back inside. People working, going about their lives. I take a step back. Crash.1

okay, since life and tests and college has caused me to be remiss in assigning a prompt, there will be a deadline extension. sorry about the lateness.

    and the prompt:

    hmmm, lemme see...

okay, here we go: modern day, non-fantastical, non-romantic. there won't be space for that. because here's what you're going to write: a man is standing at a large window on the top story of a skyscraper, looking out. you tell me what he sees. take your time and let your imagination roam. revel in the details and the description.

this springs from a fieldtrip i took once as a young child. we went way up in a skyscraper (seriously, like 50-60 stories) and just looked out the window, writing down and describing what we saw. but the difference for you is that no skyscraper is required, merely a vivid imagination. have fun!
