They sleep
Although so much they were denied
They weep
As so far from home they lie.1
Longing to be home,
In the country of their birth.
Now safe within the womb
Of loving mother Earth.2
Watching their loved ones,
Living out their lives.3
Unable to touch, to feel to speak,
Having to watch their loved ones weep.4
To lament the loss of one so young,
The mischevious boy, or the one who sung
So beautifully.5
Potential never filled,
Lives cut short,
Young men killed.
Families torn apart,
Breaking tearing at the heart
Of those left behind.
